This whole movie was like watching a Transformers movie!!! Lots of Slow Motion, Computer animated fight scenes, explosions and sparks flying.
I think he already did that for Grimlock.

If you've watched the cartoons, the turtles always gets stomped the first few times they face Shredder. After that, they either end in a stalemate or win outright. Sometimes it's just Leo vs Shredder with the two always stalemating.
This Robotic armor is my favorite version of the shedder, The magnetic blades are awesome

I don't know if it's a direct reference, but the part around 2:30 where the turtles are huddled together making a plan while Shredder is just doing his thing nearby is _very_ reminiscent of their first meeting with him in the 1990 movie. He shows up, stomps all four of them in a row, and then they do this little huddle and make a plan while he just sort of... chills in the background. Wonder if that's a nod.
The original was adapted right from the Comic. This crap is...crap.
The shredder armour was sick as fuck in the movie in my opinion and the way he just body checks April killed me😂💀

Honestly this may be my second favourite version of Shredder because of how visceral he is (First favourite is the 2012 ver). Say what you want about the armour but this is the kind of brutality I want out of Shredder
Yup, it’s a very underrated movie and people always try to diss on this shredder it’s crazy. But 2003 is also really cool.

idc what anyone says this portrayal of the ninja turtles was so cool the way they made them so unnecessarily muscular to really bring out the traditional "mutant" aspect and they just look awesome while fighting splinter because who doesn't love a big bad guy?
Film sucked and was corny, the new animation is actually very good
People keep wondering why this movie gets hate despite the turtles personalities and chemistry and yes those thing are good but the issue with this movie is that it doesn’t focus on them enough. Instead the plot is centred around April who is a boring character in this version. Boring protagonists with an interesting supporting cast can work but in those cases the protagonist is constantly interacting with them. A big portion of this movie is spent with April interacting with other boring human characters instead of the turtles.

Man I remember in 2014 my parents gave me a choice: let’s go watch GOTG or ninja turtles. Back then I had no idea or interest in GOTG as a naive 12yr old (I love GOTG now btw)
So we watched ninja turtles and say what you will about this movie but I had FUN watching this in theaters. It’s exactly what a big fun Hollywood summer blockbuster should be! Plus it really had that transformers vibe coming off of Age of Extinction by Michael Bay that very same year. Man he was on a roll around that time.
Even now I rewatch scenes from this movie and remember how much of a fun rollercoaster this film was

I dunno man. Everyone gives this and the sequel a hard time. But dude, it's about talking turtles and ninja henchmen and a talking rat. It is what it is. It was that generations ninja turtles. Just like my generation was the OG original first turtles. They remake the same movie, they get criticized. They do something different, they get criticized. You can't win.
I really enjoyed the Mutant Mayhem one that came out this year. It was more on the cartoonish side. But I appreciate how it did its own thing, while giving a huge shout out to the original tmnt ogs.
I also appreciate how this Michael Bay series and Mutant Mayhem both acknowledged that Bebop and Rocksteady exist.
