  • On a beautiful sunny day in May, I visit the Malvern spring festival for the first time with my parents. We get ideas from the show gardens and then head to the theatres to hear from gardening legend Alan titschmarsh and on to get tips and tricks from Florist Jonathan Moseley. Finally we marvel at the beautiful plants available to buy in the floral marquee and call in to Hardy Cottage garden plants for a quick hello and to buy some plants before heading home.

Enjoyed your tour. I liked how you demonstrated the ideas you took from the show and used them right away. Sometimes, our minds get stuffed up, and we don’t implement any of the ideas we are exposed to, So kudos to you for showing that so nicely.

Loved watching this. So many plants to choose from. Looking forward to the Chelsea video. I hope to get there one day but the Malvern show is a beauty. Thank you and I’m watching from Australia 🇦🇺.

Hi Jenny, since getting into gardening during the first lockdown - and quickly becoming a bit of an addict - I have consumed more than my fair share of gardening videos, podcasts, magazines, etc. I have to say that your videos are really one of - if not - the most helpful, accessible, relevant, concise, consistent and enjoyable formats I have come across. Huge congratulations to you for your success so far and massive thanks to you (and everyone else who makes your work possible). I am sure you will gain many more fans and go on to even greater things. You seem like a really brilliant person too, so big respect and best wishes!

How sweet, you’ve made my day! I’m so pleased to hear you have got the gardening bug, it’s the best thing and I wish everyone could discover the joy of gardening! Gives meaning and purpose to life - is that a bit deep? 🤣
      Thanks for your support
      Best wishes
      Jenny

Salut and thank you for this video. I finally found the pink petticoat columbine seeds! At the moment on the roadsides in Burgundy, there is sainfoin. I will definitely plant some in my border. Merci encore

Lol. Isn't it funny how when we attend events like that. Or even stroll through a public garden. You automatically get jazzed up and inspired to rush home and start doing things in your own spaces hahahaha 😆 😂
Mmmm, the joy and beauty of being in nature.

Yes, trouble is there aren’t enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to do and work definitely gets in the way of fun!

Such inspiration! What type of Aquilegia or Columbine do you have in your border? Is it Pink Petticoat or in the Barlow series? I’ve been on the hunt here in Rhode Island for that variety but no one has them in stock this year. 💕

Yes, you are right, pink petticoat. I planted them from seed several years ago
