Thanks for posting! I always enjoy your reviews 😊 This is one of my favourite yarns, so I’ve used it a lot, and I’ve never experienced any roughness on my hands despite my sensitive skin! But I’m an English flicker, so maybe that reduces tension on my fingers. It also softens up a great deal over time, though it does seem that certain colours are slightly less soft than others. I have to stop myself from using it for every project!

Thank you! I didn't think how it would be to knit it English style, but I think you're right! The tension knitting with it continental may be my downfall! I am so happy to hear that you love and enjoy it, and that it softens over time! :)

For knitting with those rougher natural fibres try the Portuguese method, which totally reduces the risk of rope burn!

Just for perhaps a different opinion, i dont feel the kfo pure silk is rough for me. I almost always use kfo because of the quality. I know it is durable and ethical and the colours are so fine. I do live in denmark so maybe for me its quite cheap compared to other yarns. Also i like to support small independent businesses 😊 i also really like hjertegarn, they have a new life wool that is recycled and soft. I knit the same jumper one with kfo which came out super light and soft (heavy merino+silk mohair) and hjertegarn new life with Mayflower silk mohair, this one is denser and a little heavier but also nice in a different way.

We're happy to hear that you enjoy the yarn:) Those are some great yarns too, we'll have to add those to our list to review!

I didn’t know the tension could cause that. I’ve had that issue with cotton yarn so it’s good to know that with knitting for olive purr silk because I haven’t heard other knitters mention that.

Have you reviewed Cascade Merino DK? I absolutely love it. Its the dyed version of Cascade Eco Merino dk, which is also gorgeous. After blocking its so light and soft. ❤

Wow thank you so much for this review. I feel that knitting for olive is soooooo overrated. I ordered the heavy merino and was so disappointed.
