Yes, I found some steel canopy footers online that were the perfect size to fit up inside the receivers on the frame where the trampoline legs would go. I can't find the link but I'm pretty sure they were called "canopy footers".
We don't live there anymore. The only potential problem I remember is that I miscalculated and dug the hole about 1 ft too wide. There was still barely enough space for the trampoline feet, but barely.
you are gonna hit the bottom if you weigh more than 50 lbs. I dug mine our originally with an escavator and every few years since by hand. your bowl needs much steeper walls and depth. you are like 1/3 or maybe half done.
Nope. I calculated the depth in the middle to avoid that. It could have been deeper on the sides, but it worked great for the kids and actually for my wife and me and the neighbors. The only person that touched ground on the sides weighed >200 lbs, so it didn't concern me.
Can you explain to me what you did for the legs?? I’m wanting to shorten mine as well so I don’t have to dig 3 ft deep around the entire hole.

Awesome, how is it holding up? Would you do anything differently?
