It's crazy how you guys make me want collectible football helmets so bad! I love football but watching these videos gets me jonesing for some helmets on my mantle!
What I did for large decals, I heat them up with a hair dryer just enough for them to be soft enough to have no bubbles or anything
That's the best way to go about it!

Personally, a enjoy restoring old Helmets as a hobby. I have done several and I always get my parts and facemask from GG. Wish you would have explained more about the breakdown and prep. Would like to know more about your technique for prepping the helmet. Love what you do.

This is my first video of yours. I’m a huge Bills fan and I am attempting my own restoration. Of course Facebook knows what I’m doing so they showed me an ad for your channel. Any tips on painting if I want to change the color? What about fixing gouges in the plastic?
For painting we always recommend bringing it to an expert, but you can always use spray paint if you don't mind the look! But, gouges are a bit tougher to fix up.

I’ve seen an NFL equipment documentary where they heat up the decals with a hairdryer to allow the decals to sit and apply a little easier
Interesting! We usually use a heat gun to take old decals off, but haven't tried heating them for a smoother application. good to know!
I love watching y’all vids but I feel like u guys should make 3d front bumper and back bumpers for the classic riddell vsr4 for the fans who wanna build a classic helmet I know I got mine on the way 😅

What is the spray that you used to get the goop off? I use goo gone for when I restore old helmet and was wondering if that works too?
It's called Citrus Spray! You can usually find it at your local Walmart, and it'd be with the air fresheners! You'd be surprised at the wonders that little can can do!

We do this as a side gig. I've yet to see a used helmet that doesn't need some body filler in gouges. That helmet was not "used". Just a little dirty.

Where do people get their decals for their helmets? I can’t find a good place to buy them!
eBay or Etsy is your best bet when it comes to finding NFL decal sets! Or alternatively, we sell collectible helmets that come with licensed decals already on the helmet!

No, it’s tough because the collectables were put on hold for a while by the manufacturers so they could get caught up with field use helmets

The BEST way is to get a collectible helmet and build off of it. However, you can usually find good knock-offs on eBay or Etsy, as long as they are 20mil thick!

Where do you get your stickers,
The collectible helmets we sell come licensed with decals already on them. But, if we are doing a build that is not licensed, we ask the team for their decals or try to find something on Ebay.

I have an idea that I’m probably gonna try for Christmas. I’m going to buy a Tennessee titans Speedflex and make it look like Derrick Henry’s Speedflex that he wears in game. All i need is a gray SF-2EG-II-HD facemask for a Speedflex and a dark Oakley visor and

Kinda wish yall sold some of these old reconditioned helmets like the speed for example because man helmets are expensive these days and with only the Riddell, and schutt being the helmets on the market their expensive.
