My dudes. They raised me in the mean streets of Flint Michigan in 80's and still today and I'm 50 years old.
I didnt even know that they got inducted. They were part of my FIRST concert experience when my sister's dad took me and my Mom to see them at the Budweiser Fest 90' and the whole presentation was RADICAL but revolutionary with Chuck D just going OFF with bars and I would have thought that a roit was going to happen with Flavor Flav blowing UP the speakers with excessive cussing and ranting while the soldiers pointing their machine guns towards the audience during their set. Well deserved honor and I'm glad that they got inducted.
There goes the neighborhood...here comes the truth!

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke. I'm not knocking Public Enemy as a group but they are not rock n roll. They are rap. The name should just be changed to Popular Artist Hall of Fame

Rock artist LITERALLY talk, yell, and sing over the RHYTHM, the same way Rappers do. Swags and Race just differ.

Your argument's just wrong. I'll say it again, they've been adding groups and artists that are way outside the scope of rock n roll, so it'd be be more accurate to just call it the Pop Music Hall of Fame.
