My dudes. They raised me in the mean streets of Flint Michigan in 80's and still today and I'm 50 years old.

I didnt even know that they got inducted. They were part of my FIRST concert experience when my sister's dad took me and my Mom to see them at the Budweiser Fest 90' and the whole presentation was RADICAL but revolutionary with Chuck D just going OFF with bars and I would have thought that a roit was going to happen with Flavor Flav blowing UP the speakers with excessive cussing and ranting while the soldiers pointing their machine guns towards the audience during their set. Well deserved honor and I'm glad that they got inducted.

Let’s no one smile. Because we are ANGRY ACTIVISTS. We must stay ANGRY because we have been so abused.

@0.53 it was actually Bassem Youssef who said that. Maybe Steve Biko said it later on.

That's funny because the quote that Chuck said wasn't originally Harry Belafonte's, it was Paul Robeson.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke. I'm not knocking Public Enemy as a group but they are not rock n roll. They are rap. The name should just be changed to Popular Artist Hall of Fame

@@freekyreek404 - Ok I didn't mention hip-hop but, last time I checked, Hip Hop was Hip Hop. Let me know when they start the Hip Hop Music Hall of Fame, so we can induct all kinds of artists who are not hip hop into that Hall of Fame like maybe Mozart, Beethoven, country music artists...

@@bherber RAP = Rhythm And Poetry
Are the DRUMS not part of the RHYTHM SECTION? Is the "RHYTHM SECTION" not part of "ROCK AND ROLL?"
Rock artist LITERALLY talk, yell, and sing over the RHYTHM, the same way Rappers do. Swags and Race just differ.

@@freekyreek404 - So lemme ask you this, if they ever start a Rap Hall of Fame, are we going to induct the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Elvis? Of course not, that'd be ridiculous. Your argument's just wrong. I'll say it again, they've been adding groups and artists that are way outside the scope of rock n roll, so it'd be be more accurate to just call it the Pop Music Hall of Fame.

@@bherber I'd put Peter Wolf from the J. Geils Band in there. He was a white rapper and a great singer. The rock hof people hate J. Geils, so let's put them in the rap hall...
