Honestly I think those prices are too high for thrift stores.
Mya Nichole same
Yes!! when i go to goodwill pay 4.99 for Jens is too much! lol
Thrift store near me sells a $70 dollar dress but it's beautiful old stuff like 70' and older.
Are you sure that's a thrift shop? -_-
Jiminniepabo yeah.
$25 for a dress?! That is an expensive thrift store! I wouldn't have even bothered!
it might have been one those "high end thrift stores" they only except items from name brands or designers. I have one of those in my city and it's a great way to get really expensive clothes for walmart prices. I was able to get my grandma a $2000 Gucci bag for only $109 dollars.
that's crazy! I don't think we have one of those anywhere near where I live :/
It's really good for $25. Maybe it's really good quality.
Kimberly Ann true
Kimberly Ann exactly
That first dress was sooooo cute. Very Roaring 20s. The second one was cute too. I have to shorten straps pretty often too.
+lomolvr Me too.
Would you be able to do a video on resizing jeans, in the waist and legs? I can never find any videos that cover both at the same time, I'm so short and a lot of my cheaper jeans stretch to a size too big and I've resorted to fixing it myself!
same here 😒
Yess!!
same!!
I second this.
I am a curvy and short girl so it is often a problem finding jeans that fit :,(
the overall dress would look really good if you crisscrossed the straps in the back!
Samantha Delgado and turned the skirt into shorts !
Samantha Delgado I also think altering the bust area would have flattered her a little more
That white dress is beautiful!!! What a steal!!
Levis jeans for $4!! what a steal! I've never altered my clothes before but I might in the near future so thanks for showing me how :)
+Nur Indah Wulandari sweet! happy to help :)
i literally just realized your username has your name backwards in it. wow.
+Indiana Whiteman hehe a lot of people have just been realizing that and I think its because of my intro lol :D
and now I see it. lol
me too!! like 20 seconds ago. before i saw this
o:
OMG I just saw it lol
Thrift stores are more expensive than I thought.
In England we have charity shops, most dresses are £1-5
captain0ldy0da Some are different. I got a really cute skirt for $0.95 today as well as a dress for $1.95! Depends on where you go. Some are more expensive. Also, a big thing to consider is whether it is for profit or nonprofit. :)
Maybe up north - that's how cheap it was when I lived in Leeds, but you'd be unlikely to find that in cities down south. You'll be spending £8-£25 on dresses depending how used, and designer.
It's very refreshing to see someone who can sew simple alterations and also enjoys sewing. It's a lost art if not taught at home because many high schools or jr high school no longer teach sewing as part of home economics. Good job. I love my sewing machine.
I absolutely love these quick fix vids because, not only do I see what to do with little problems, but, they also give me ideas to how to make something look better when I like it but not quite.
Wow, you got some GREAT deals! That first dress is beautiful and Ann Taylor had a skirt almost exactly like that one month ago for $130
*the last skirt
Those Levi jeans fit you perfectly! They look so good on you :)
*scurries to the thrift store* honestly my sewing machine would get no play without your inspiration. Love ya!
That's an expensive thrift store wtf
I love the pleated skirt and those golden shoes are fabulous!
Very cool fixes. I like that you don't necessarily take every piece apart and completely rebuild it. You have such a good eye to tell exactly what needs to be done. That first dress is adorable.
Would definitely want to see more of these videos. FYI I love fashion and sewing and I remember coming across your page one day and saying she's literally the best. That exact day I binged watched all of your videos and show them to my family too!!!!!!
I can't get enough of your video's. Love the fact that all my clothes I had ready to get rid of have so much potential. Thanks for your awesome tips.
I've recently gotten into thrift shopping and realized that it is way more fun. I'm gonna save up and by myself a sewing machine and learn how to sew and fix clothes to fit me better like u do. u got me so inspired!!
Love 💗 your quirky personality !!! Keep the videos coming. Thanks to you I'm not afraid to alter my own clothes !!!
I never find stuff like this in my thriftshops! lol

Finally a channel with DIY I looked for my entire life ❤❤❤
Oh my god the jeans look amazing!
You make me want to buy a sewing machine!
Goddess herself, your style is SO cute!!! Being very tall and curvy, I really can't find too much that interests me at thrift stores. I do love the big comfy flannels and sweaters I can find in the men's section tho
+Nic S Find ways to alter them to compliment your body ^__^
I don't sew nor have I ever or know how, but I'm obsessed with your videos! You' do so well with these clothing items!
That skirt! I need to learn how to do quick fixes on my finds. Love your channel... so glad i found you!
loving ur channel. ur not just a skilled seamstress.. more like a fashion designer. little touches u make are MAGICAL.
that first dress you thrifted was adoooorable!! nice find!
Omg! those clothes are expensive for being from the thrift store, where I live the highest price on most of the thrift stores is $2 dlls, and the price goes downs depending on the day you go.
+MtzFamilyVlogs I agree on the high prices April paid. I would never pay that much at a resale shop.
+LINDA BROWN I know! right?!
+MtzFamilyVlogs i know 25$ lol thats full price for a used item
In England they're called charity shops and I bet you would have got the dresses for probably £4/5 each
I thought the prices were GREAT! I could see the first dress and the last dress retailing for over $100
Love this video. I have always been a fan of altering sale items to suit my style!

I love all of your videos! They are always so great! I love this quick fix one is great as sometimes I've found a few things that were too long on the shoulders and I never thought about doing this! Thanks so much! :)
I think you could try crossing the straps of the overall skirt
+Katerina Sarychava Yes, it would be cuter and shortened
yass! An am sure it would help to rectify that slight pucker on the sides too....
I was just about to comment the same thing, great minds think alike huh??
Great idea
Awesome ideas, and excellent transformations. Luv it
I love you ! I've been here since the beginning and you've helped me with numerous projects ! thank you so much :)

You are so pretty and these all look so good on you it's insane! Even before the alterations. But its super cool that you can do them!
