I rely so much on the nuances I can get with the center of my upper lip but I see a few professional flutists that seem to blow off center like you do. Denis Bouriakov is another I've noticed. You both have amazing tone. I am left perplexed.
If you can make your embouchure in the center, that’s of course fine! :) But it’s also not the most important thing as it greatly depend on many things like the shape of the lips, teeth etc. Find the most natural position for your lips and make sure to keep the center of the embouchure and the center of the head joint (hole where you blow in the air) aligned, then you are good to go! :)
