    I make soap for fun and I spent months reading and formulating my recipes, as well as understanding the process and any additives. I am not selling yet any of my soaps, this is just a hobby for now, that I will be trying to perfect.
    I will be uploading a video every Tuesday, documenting my soaping journey and experiences (good or bad).
    I hope you enjoyed this video! 🌲🍊🌿

    Beautiful soap, and I liked the video, but your music was driving me nuts. I muted it and watched it that way. Great job on the job!

      Thank you 🥰 Around 1/3 of the soap batter as green. I do think 1/4 would have been better tho 😅

    Nice soap. A question here please. The hanger movement ..just once is fine ?

    • @LushySoaps
      @LushySoaps  Před 4 lety +1

      I guess it can be done easily. I did the technique only once, for this soap and I used the hanger twice. Both times going down on the line in the middle and then from bottom to the each side and then up. That's the beauty of it, you can try and see how it will look inside and maybe you will be surprised, like I was. 🤗😉

    Lovely soap, but would the pine twigs discolor after time. ?

    • @LushySoaps
      @LushySoaps  Před 4 lety +1

      I have no idea. The twigs are still green even after curing. I spritzed isopropyl alcohol before adding them to reduce the potential browning. Since they are evergreen I imagine they will stay green. 😎😁 I will always update on my soaps on Instagram though, so we will see what colour they change to if they do. 🤗

    • @LushySoaps
      @LushySoaps  Před 4 lety +1

      UPDATE: I used it and no discolor in them still. 😁 The twigs were getting dry though, but I noticed under the water it looks like they hydratated back. 😎

      @morpro4u Před 4 lety +1

      Did you buy the twigs yourself or do you have pine trees near your home ? I'm curious as to the purpose behind adding salt to your lye water..what does it do etc? Al'so..many have recommended using arrow root powder as an additive to anchor the scents of the EO into the soap....have you used that before or ?

    • @LushySoaps
      @LushySoaps  Před 4 lety

      @@morpro4u Hey! I use salt to help the soap harden faster as I am using a larger quantity of liquid oils rather than hard ones. I bought a mini pine tree from the store and used some twigs on the soap just for design. I haven't used arrowroot powder but I used Kaoline white clay as an anchor for my essential oils and works pretty good. 🤗

    But why you do SF8%..so highly .also no scient oil that mean will be smell clear oils cause ratio of sf 8%

    • @LushySoaps
      @LushySoaps  Před 3 lety +3

      I did 8% sf because of the high percentage of coconut oil (some people say that a soap with high percentage of coconut oil can be drying, so I wanted to try and see the difference). Unscented soap doesn't smell like oils, after the saponification the soap can smell actually very beautiful naturally. But in the description I have listed all 5 essential oils I used for this soap: Pine needle, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Sweet orange and Lime, so it's scented amazingly 😁
