  • Hello everyone, Elizabeth here!
    This is my take on the feather swirl technique with inspiration from Holly of Kapia Mera.
    NOTE: This is Part 1 which features the making of the main soap design. Part 2 (coming soon) will be the video of how i make the border.
    I'm still very new at video editing so do leave me comments on both the soap as well as suggestions on how i can improve my videos. Thank you!

    I'm on .85 of this video but I love how you built up the bottom layer first. I have seen other soapers do the sides at the same time, as I have learned, and this is just going to look so cool, I can't wait to finish the video!

    You keep your TD in a squeeze container? What’s it mixed with, at what ratio, and how long does it last?

      Thank you! It's nice to get positive feedback. For the colour schemes, i just google 'colour palette' and then pick and choose what appeals to me. Something you could look into as well =)

    I’m curious how & what you mix your T.D. Could you share exact recipe for this please?. Mine hardens too quickly.

    • @littlelambsoapworks
      @littlelambsoapworks  Před rokem +2

      I pre-blend my TD: Oil 1:3 ratio. If your batter hardens up - it's more likely your oil blend doesnt stay fluid long enough.
      Try a light colour oil mix so that you can use less TD. That would probably help too.

    Really fantastic video! Thank you for the upload.
    I have one question about the quantity for the feathers. How do you know how much you need for them. I am trying to figure out myself how much but I just don’t get it.
    Stupid question, I’m sorry🫥

    • @littlelambsoapworks
      @littlelambsoapworks  Před rokem

      Sorry, missed out replying. There is not hard and fast rule as it depends multiple factors - dimensions of your mold, number of feathers you are trying to achieve. For mine, the feathers are about 35% of my total batter mix.

    • @littlelambsoapworks
      @littlelambsoapworks  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Deborah, It's a glass rod - just helps to guide the flow of the fragrance oil so that it doens't spill down the side of the bottle

    How did you manage to do that frame around the sliced square in a different colour? There wasn't any thing done for the frame in the process all along. The final outcome does not match with your work. Sorry

    Why do you have to pour it onto a spatula instead of just right in?

    • @littlelambsoapworks
      @littlelambsoapworks  Před 11 měsíci

      Pouring over the spatula helps minimise air being introduced into the batter.
