You know, you could have just built a small wooden flying platform, assemble it and then add stone and dirt, that would have saved you a lot of trouble

I've been enjoying these videos, it's really nostalgic to older Minecraft when Airships was the thing to build. And you'd find them everywhere
And the zeppelin mod was the original version of this mod, I remember playing it in like 2011
I loved seeing Archimedes mod in videos when I was younger. These new mods are like a dream come true though.
I remember watching DanTDM's archimedes ships mod review like 8 years ago.
You can "assemble" rock and dirt if you edit the "blacklist" config from the mod options (Eureka)
EDIT: If you do, BE CAREFUL TO MAKE SURE YOUR SHIP IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE GROUND IN ANY WAY WHEN ASSEMBLING. DIAGONAL BLOCKS COUNT (its configurable as well)

Yeah I wish I knew about the diagonal blocks before I turned an entire village into an accidental airship.
If only it worked like create's glue.. It'd be so much better and easier lol

This was honestly a pretty cool build battle, I do wish we could have had more people in this, so then we can have more people to vote who like what more, but I loved both builds.
Your build is a cool idea I love the creativeness of it, but your friend (I watch his videos too but can’t remember his name, lol) he was like a child building with this mod for the first time so you gotta give him some slack and he did a great job for building a boat and using some images for reference
to add the dirt and stone, you could have made the airship first then added those parts afterwards

I think you won. It's closer to the definition of "flying base". Because it literally is.
Can you do a full series where you are using as many mods to create the ultimate survival world. Maybe including things like automatic farms, the perfect bases (as in a flying base with all the needed factories), etc. I would watch hours of that
I hope you show Theo's build in the next one, I'd love to see the Finished build
2:10 this would be a perfect time to use the shipify stick, just search "val" in the creative search bar and take the missing texture item, and right click on the grass. then you place the ship helm after right clicking. please read this, it will help you alot.

can not express how excited I am for that addon along with the seamless portals mod for it

I'd really like it if the time limit was longer in all of your build battles. That said, this time you clearly won, since Theo had neither an flying something nor a base built by the end. :)

Idea:
Make an attack on titan reference using pehkui and create mod where you and others defend your base from a giant player, you can build airships and vehicles to escape them at the end, you can also use create big cannons or crayfishes gun mod to defend against it more

What you should of made instead of the flying island was the house from "UP", with the balloons high in the sky and the blankets on the side of the house.
i wanna see a lets play where you live on a flying base and just keep expanding it till it becomes a whole city
Honestly the floating island is way cooler as a concept compared to the airship, just a matter of refining the execution like perhaps building a castle on top and making the island larger

Also grass is on the assemble blacklist so it cannot be assembled into a ship
(But you can place it on afterwards)
This is to prevent you from assembling the world
You can edit it from the mod options(Eureka)

Now you have to make the creations into war machines with tnt cannons and stuff to fight each other
Here is an idea for anyone with the mods and likes underground bases build a monorail car that takes you from your base to the surface and back and to wereever else you build the track there is infinite potential with a monorail

I have commented it on each of Shalz' valkyrien skies videos, but its one of my favorite mods ever, and greatly suggest checking out older versions of the mod, like 1.12.2 and such.
@Shalz I found a create big cannons addon/mod that’s adds automatic cannons, you only need to insert ammo and you can sit in the seat to shoot. The place where the ammo needs to go is compatible with hoppers, chutes, dispensers, etc.

Love valkirien skyes, the one thing i don't like about it is that it does not let me make a floating factory with tekkit(wich would be a very cool mobile base) but using it as a transportation mean of both goods and for general exploring is really fun.
In my hardcore tekkit+ world i had built a canal between my bases ( one was a dedicated buildcraft mining base and the other a processing plant for everything i mined and also a petroleum refinery) and it was hyper fast and quite convenient as well as fun to ride along (i modeled it based on the panama canal)
Unfortunately that world is lost as i've had a bit of a problem with nuclear meltdowns (i've somehow drained an entire minecraft ocean with buildcraft pumps) and i wasn't able to scram all my fisson and fusion facilities (love reactor craft, one of the best mods) before the inevitable happened and caught me alongside it. sad story.

Loved the video! I wanted to make a steampunk magicy modpack and this mod will def go in it lol. Was thinking about creat and thaumcraft in it. Probably immersive engineering as well. Anyone have any suggestions?
Replace it with Aeronautics when that comes out.

The only thing I'm not a fan of this mod is how fast it turns, like it doesn't feel like the "vehicle" you're driving has weight, but this mod still pretty damn cool

Oh i Love your videos they are so funny and are so much fun to watch but while i was playing around with this mod[Eureka] and found out that 2 builts/ airships can colide so that means you can but a little airship inside a big airship or look one to the other one with piston gives you more posibilitys by a lot so that even means you can built some star wars stuff with small airships/planes inside xD
you can assemble the airship and then build the ground objects

Make the house from Up, pair it with the Cannons addon, and crash it into a waterfall.
In the creative menu there is a ship creator which turns any block into a ship which works like a normal one. There is also a mini ship creator which lets you make tiny ships.

You should use the mod and make a drive able tank you can use create to rotate turret and dispenser because canon doesn’t work!

If you assemble the ship beforehand, and build everything ON the ship, then it will remain a part of the ship even if the original block or helm(s) are broken. Watching this video hurt me lol.
