- Claudillea Holloway was raised in Malaysia, where she found her love for music singing traditional songs. Problem with opera singers on these voice show's is that the coaches really don't know what to do with them, mainly cuz they are already so much better singers than most of these coaches are
The problem is that the audience voters won't vote for them
You are wrong. Most of these coaches have had singing lessons, when you study singing you learn that it's more than a "better singer" thing. Opera Singing it's so specific and the coaches usually don't have the experience to work with. And it's a popular show, opera singing it's very dated by now, unless you do a modern mashup like the girl did. Singing opera doesn't make you better, it just means that you practiced and studied an especific path in singing technique

@@petrius5630 as someone who had vocal training, singing lessons are nowhere near the same. Most “professional” singers don’t have training...they have vocal “coaches”. Not the same.

This shows Will’s power as a coach (and why that Bass girl is so overrated). He used the orchestra and the song to bring out the full potential of her voice. He is a big fan of mixing genres, and man does he do it wrll

I don't think it because she underrated. For me she just doesn't have enough experience to properly coach now. It's not just that's she's still young. For me pop singers don't fit this work. Do you imagine what it would look like if Taylor Swift, for example, was a coach?
Totally agree that Will is an excellent coach - few compete when it comes to imagination and vision 😎
In fairness to Meghan, I suspect that she didn't want to turn because she didn't know what to do with Claudillea, but took one look at Will's reaction (who couldn't turn as his team was full) & turned so that she could stay on the show and Will could steal her. Watch her interactions with Will before she turns and you'll see what I mean.
By doing that, she put giving Claudillea a chance before our perception of her as a coach (the song she did on Team Meghan was never going to be great because she didn't know how to handle her voice). So, credit where it's due, she might not be the best coach, but she did a very decent thing by turning for Claudillea.
Wil i am is a producer, this is really his forte. Claudilea shows she is flexible when she added a bit pop in her blinds.
Meghan Trainer is hardly overrated.
The fact the judges didn’t know what to do shows how special this girl is. The talent and raw power is insane... but what gets me most, is the ease of which she has just switched keys at will... and nailing it. Paint it black literally gave me goosebumps upon the entirety of my body. She’s special.

@@xochitlp there is a niche segment of fans, this genre can be developed at its fullest potential, talents are available, I like high-pitch sounds in a modern pop arias. This can be a counter-balance of rap music.
It takes a special talent to take a classic from one generation, rework it then bring it back out, totallu transformed, unique and refreshed yetbstill honoring the original. Wow!
By introducing the beat, she was able to bridge two worlds, Opera and Modern Pop, letting the coaches, to be able to come and meet her half way, finally bridging to Rock. Truly gifted and amazing

There is an element of not really knowing how to deal with Operatic singers. Not because they don't take it seriously.
An average Opera singer could turn up and still have vocal control and power that is far beyond the judges.
She's totally slay all the songs. New version of Queen of the night? Checked. Opera style to The greatest? Checked. New version of Paint it black? MASTERPIECE ✅

I've listened to Claudillia sing paint it black so many times and every time the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when she changes key, would love to hear her sing the whole song, not just a 2 min snippet.

Despite her complete greatness in singing Mozart, Claudillea's actual masterpiece was her singing of "Paint It Black." It was a total shame that she didn't advance further and get the opportunity to sing in the final! Her cover of "Paint It Black" was truly out-of-this-world in its breathtaking inventiveness! Claudillea is a living, breathing, singing genius - of that, there can be no doubt! Her version of "Paint It Black" is one of the all-time best performances ever done on any singing show - at any stage - be it blind auditions, quarter-finals, semi-finals, or finals! Claudilllea is a tremendous talent and I hope she soon returns to the Voice UK or a comparable show, such as Britain's Got Talent or America's Got Talent. I think she would slay the field!

You have to ask yourself why this girl was not supported by the judges when voting. By far the best performance on The Voice ever. Original and powerful. Seems to me the winner is preselected to fit the producers narrative for that month.

From the intro song, it was obvious that Claudillea won this contest. This contest is all about the voice. it shouldn’t have come down to the judges, not know what to do with her. Because of this I stop watching the show, it’s not about talent. They are only looking for someone who could be a easy sale. To bad the judges didn’t realize. Claudellia could reach a even larger, audience with her style and voice.

Man this girl, seriously, I've enjoyed opera for a long time but the language barrier always meant I was losing out on part of it. It brings tears of joy that some of them are making it accessible to the general populace, damn it's amazing to hear voices that are such fine works of art

The duet between the two ladies was out of this world. They were so in sinc with each other it was fantastic. Claudilea was superb as was expected but so her partner. I can only hope that they team up in the future

I love it when opera singers cross genres like Dimash....it is refreshing and it's something that the classics can really get their claws into if they are willing to do.

If it was up to me Claudia would’ve won. They’re all fabulous but Claudia brings something new to the table. I mean to be able to turn a pop song into opera takes so much talent and let’s be honest as much as everyone on the voice has a brilliant voice, none of them have the uniqueness that Claudia has. Literally all of them can sing very very well which I really do appreciate so I don’t mean to put any of the other contestants down but Claudia’s talent is on a whole new level, not only her singing abilities but she is able to turn songs from other genres into opera which even most professionals can’t do. Claudia is so versatile and adaptable and in my opinion that makes her both extremely unique and extremely talented. I hope she knows how good she is. Singers often don’t realise or appreciate their worth but she is just fantastic and I really hope she realises that and pursues a career in music as I know it’s a cliché but she really was born to perform

Claudillea’s interpretation of Paint it Black is interesting and in my opinion takes the song to another level, and Wow what a voice! I have now listened to it many times. I know its a Stones song but it never did anything for me, probably because it wasn’t my kind of music.
