Yes ... I think the Belite UltraCub should definitely make a comeback. I'm interested in buying one. I like the idea of using an enclosed trailer as storage. You could park the trailer at your local grass airstrip for the duration of the flying season. Unfolding the wings and re-attaching the turtle deck takes about 10 minutes until ready to fly.
I think you should bring back the Chipper 2 place. I was getting ready to order one when the fire happened. I had already transferred money to my checking account to mail the check for the deposit on the kit. That Honeycomb design was very impressive to me. I had already talked to the UL Power Rep about ordering a 130hp engine. That’s the perfect little Bushplane for STOL work. Right after the fire the LSA market got huge. I know you would of been back ordered on kits.
This is a great combination ! A small 4-stroke engine and lightweight Belite airframe. A person could log a lot of hours with a fuel consumption of only 1.9 gallons an hour !
It was truly sad - the fire that killed BeLite. Great airplanes

38 hp at 87 pounds for this 1/2 VW 4-stroke engine shown, not bad, but todays standard in 2020 with EFI 4-stroke is 65hp at 90 pounds watercooled as well, V-twin 800CC, 1.6 gallons per hour

Thanks for the INFO, Impressive 9 sec take off! I have been flying Ultralight's since 1978 and would like to have a 4 stroke because of the fuel burn difference. How many GPH do you get with that setup? And what's your cruise speed? I saw no N numbers, are you part 103 legal?

will this comfortably fit a 6 foot 1 inch 270 lbs guy? I fit in a 152 with someone else and I also fit in a extra 300L and comfortably in a Supercub
+Jerry Witt Im same boat with the exact height and weight lol. It would fit us, but most likely wouldn't be able to lift us. Its a 254lb plane. So it would have to lift its weight +18% plus the weight of the fuel. I decided on building a mini Max 1100R and losing 50 lbs hahaha way cheaper. But the Belite is on my list of future toys i want to own
What is the g-rating for this aircraft? I'm talkin' minus g's and plus g's; has it been rated? It looks pretty strong. How are the connections made; bolts or pins or what. How long to take the wings off for transport? thanks, I enjoyed the video.

You guys should hire or find some one to Film you with a QuadCopter. You would get a lot more Really Good Footage ;) I just sold my quad or id offer to help out in exchange for a couple flights bahahaha

Hooking the fingertips around the prop blade like that, you can lose them if the engine backfires.

A lot of wasted footage. We don't need to see the first 3 1/2 minutes and the crash and dashes need a lot more practice. It took me three tries, three different sittings to finely get through it.
