- Here is PART 2 of our special story from up in the beautiful hills of Abha, Saudi Arabia when we bumped into Mohammed in the street and he invited us to share a meal with his family.... Well, we ended up staying the night in their village and sharing two days with their family!
All around Saudi Arabia we have been humbled by the kindness of strangers and the hospitality of the people of Saudi Arabia.

The hospitality is the basic teach of Islam and best practices from Our Prophet Muhammad BPUH. When therebis a guest we must treat them like king, provide them food, accommodation, entertainment and comfort. This is Islam.

The messenger of God ﷺ said: "Anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day, should serve his neighbor generously, and anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should serve his guest generously by giving him his reward." It was asked. "What is his reward, O Allah's Messenger ﷺ?" He said, "(To be entertained generously) for a day and a night with high quality of food and the guest has the right to be entertained for three days (with ordinary food) and if he stays longer, what he will be provided with will be regarded as Sadaqa (a charitable gift). And anybody who believes in Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet (i.e. abstain from all kinds of dirty and evil talks).
This video shows how much loving and generous are Saudi families. Either you are stranger or their relative Saudi people welcome every one with open heart. This is the culture & traditions of the Gulf countries. Love you Saudi Arabia.

And you had asked about the age of the wood, which is more than two hundred years old, and the lower rooms were for the gathering of cows and sheep in the evening and at the time of rain. There are a lot of places worth visiting and the atmosphere is always great and welcome back to my grandmother's house

Hi there, since you are in the South. You have to drive down to Faifa mountains ⛰, it is stunning there, especially during the monsoon season which has started. Also visit Farasan Island and go for kayaking or canoeing. You will all enjoy it.

Wooden ceiling you were asking we call it in our local gulf language ( chandal or basjeel ) in Latin or English they call it mangrove brought from East africa , in the past all gulf region houses were using this type of wood.
