    I appreciate when you break down the poor quality in these reviews! I always say you can use the celebrity spirits (or other low end products) as a teaching opportunity. Use them to show the levels of tequila quality. Like with wine, people think Yellow Tail is good (and if they enjoy it, great) but when someone tells me they are going to get some or some other something I consider to be swill, I don't stop them but simlply tell them to also get X bottle and do a comparison with it at the same time and take notes on the differences they get, then come back and do it again. I want people to learn why something isn't great and something else is good beyond just saying so. Someone should tell these celebrities to do the same thing.

      Your missing out and never refuse a sip when it's free 😂😂😂
      As long as you like tequila take a free taste. What's the worst that can happen you like it or you hate it costs you nothing and allows you to give ur opinion. 🎉
      I really enjoy this one and think he's unfairly judged it. I'm a hard-core tequila alcoholic and have drank more brands etc than most in a lifetime.
      But only comparison for cristiliano I have is dobel anejo repo blend and mj tequila.
      I don't like cristiliano either but it does limit hangovers and can bring out unique properties of flavor wood Ester can hide.
      This as a sipper or mixer may surprise you. As for tasting the wine 🍷 yes kind of but I like to pretend not..😅😅 mi Campo reposado is wine blended tequila and that is by far the nastiest tequila ever made. Weird and gross and instant hangover and acid from that.
      Want to make a drunk stop drinking? Give him mi Campo walk away and I bet they turn their life around 😂😂😂.
      But don't be so closed minded on celeb tequila remember Cabo wabo? That was one of the best on the market before sammy hagar sold it. Yet I can't speak on it these days as it's hard to come by near me.
      A celeb endorsed product isn't always a simple rebranding there is a lot of work involved in it. Some are sure just an association like MJ product. Then others are dedicated. The rocks tequila is dog crap 💩 but hey Kevin up stepped him big time with this line.
      This bottle looks great on a bar and is female friendly and not intimidating and gives you a premium taste feel and experience. A pride type liquor with a young person vibe. It comes across in taste as well.
      On smell it's not bad either has an inviting mature yet youth thing going on. You drink it and feel the hard work behind the bottle.
      If you want an example of how it tastes jose traditional repo blended with citrus notes from wine barrels and light chared 1 time use barrels. Then filtered and water added to smooth it out.
      It's really not bad. It's not the best thing on the market no but for the price I spent near me $40 plus tax. That price point it's hard to beat for how good and interesting it is.
      You may overlook for parties or bar setting it's a conversational piece. Female friendly as well and has sex appeal and celeb who's funny behind it that everyone knows.
      It's just a good time man hate for you to overlook this one if you do enjoy tequila. It's not a waste of money if you can afford it but either way don't pass up a tasting. If you go into with negative mindset you will not enjoy it but keep a clear head on expectations being 50 50 you'll most likely really enjoy it.
      Have a nice night 🌙

    • @GamerToday
      @GamerToday Před 2 měsíci

      1 more thing bottle itself no mention of kevin heart and box idk I asked them throw that out for me 😂😂😂 wtf does alcohol need a box.
      But either way put a photo of Kevin behind it at a bar setting it's a cool thing or surprise someone by saying it's his brand and get the hype pumped.
      That's basically why celeb stuff works in liqour etc.
      To be fair without celeb endorsement on all major types of alcohol we wouldn't have modern day options for anything.
      Everyone needs a what makes this good or safe approach or a reason to buy a bottle or trust in it. Or even what's that never heard of it pass it by its not my brand. Need the sell factor the sexy to the product.
      No matter how good a liqour is without some reason to obtain or sell a new person to it how can it ever sell.
      Hence why we get made up stories funny stuff or attitude on bottles to try and sell the product. Lots of fiction for brands not using celebs to try and get attention.
      Celeb brands don't need that as much and can be more transparent. So if anything consider that 😅😅😅
      It's nuts how important the usa is to major alcohol brands in most categories becoming a thing. And again what sells? Endorsements not product the idea of something special being there until it becomes a coke.
      Or if you prefer the Jack Daniel's type house hold name you can't forget.

    Lui I got a quick question for you: why is it that cristalinos get so much flack when it seems like the exact same process is being done to lots of white rums and no one seems bothered by those? Not trying to defend cristalinos in any way, it just seems like it's seen in a MUCH more negative way when done with tequila than it is in the rum industry

    • @Lui_Fern
      @Lui_Fern  Před 4 měsíci

      Thats a great question actually. And I have seen that. I do not know how to answer it as im not as knowledgable about rum but if i had to guess id say, it probably has to do with how long it takes to make rum vs tequila and the complexities that go into that. Rum (from mollases) right off of the still can be very harsh and not the most palatable by itself, but even so it is still a trick to make a "white" spirit more palatable. Id say its still a gimick even in rum but not super sure why it isn't called out in rum as much. I think ill need to dive more into that to get a better answer for you.

    • @benvieira3895
      @benvieira3895 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @Lui_Fern I think part of might have to do with the marketing of them. In the case of Cristalinos, it's marketed a lot as an ultra-premium process and in turn commands a higher price. I've seen a few cristalinos now which have been more expensive than the repos and anejos they're trying to be. In the case of rum though it's not marketed as much and is in most cases they're still the lowest cost option. Could also just be that it's already been a standard practice in the rum industry for a while now, while it's relatively new in the tequila market. You also raise some good points. As I said, not trying to defend cristalinos or call out the rum industry, just something I started thinking about recently. Excited to hear if you come up with anything in the future

    • @Lui_Fern
      @Lui_Fern  Před 4 měsíci

      @@benvieira3895 of course! And I think your explanation actually makes a ton of sense as well, that process of charcoal filtering, it's not used to sell "super high end, premium " rum so I think t doesn't have as much negative attached to it.

    I'm glad to see celebrity booze getting the negative attention it deserves. Some restaurants and bars are loaded with this junk, and it crowds out the good stuff. Fortunately, there are a few places that see this trash for what it is and avoid stocking it, but even these places usually have to stock some of this bad booze because their customers ask for it. Casamigos is the big one lately; it is everywhere. It must be designed to appeal to something in the taste preference of Americans since it seems to be very popular with less experienced tequila drinkers. It's been a long time since I've had it. The most recent celebrity tequila I had was Cincoro. I wasn't impressed. It is overly sweet tequila liqueur that costs far more than it should. I won't be trying Gran Coramino unless morbid curiosity drives me to seek out a bad experience.
    There are rare exceptions to the general rule that celebrity booze is usually bad and is seldom worth the money. On rare occasions, a celebrity will have an authentic passion and understanding of the booze in question and will invest a lot of resources in making a dream come true. Francis Ford Coppola spent many decades gradually buying up the old Inglenook wine estate, and he finally succeeded at buying the name back from the jug wine producers who had dragged this once great name through the mud. Thanks to his efforts and his money, Inglenook is again producing great wine. I've had some recently, and I was impressed. Celebrities who want to get into booze should follow Coppola's example if they have a genuine passion for it, and if they don't have the passion, they should stay out of it and leave it to the people who know what they are doing.

    This review backfired on Kevin Hart lol unfortunate. But I do wonder if there is any celebrity tequilas that are actually good

    I refuse to buy celebrity tequilas, and never understood the point of cristallino. Seems like cristallino let's you hide something.

      It really is. Because if he made an actual good tequila it would probably be great!

    I do also love Kevin Heart, but if these people think I will drink this because his name is attach to it, they have something else going their way.
    If it is a good product, then why Not, but it looks like it is just crap.

    I went to Big Daddy's liquor last night and was recommended this tequila. Quite possible the worst tequila I have ever tried. It tasted like it was sweetens with sucralose. The tequila flavor was very week. What a really gross tequila!!! These stupid celebrities put their name on liquor, perfume, clothes, etc. to promote sells. Dwyane Johnson's tequila is also gross. I guess he hasn't made enough money that he has to pursue that venue. Casa Amigos is also a bad tequila.

    There are a few good celebrity tequilas on the market... this is not one of them!

    Great video, really disappointed by celebrites that disrespect agave spirits so they can cash out like George Clooney. Also Kevin Hart isn't funny and his acting is C-tier tripe, like his tequila.

    Kevin Hart is chasing money. Everything he does is about putting money in his pocket. How funny is he now?

    3:27 - celebrity "cash grab". Spoken like a true naive child who thinks the other distillers /owners do it for something (whatever, you tell us) other than cash. Man grow up.
