Amazing! I'm working on a film, is it as simple as having a Green screen around to comp yourself in or is there a more Complicated process on "Set" in order to do something like this?
You can use just a green screen but if you don’t prep right you could run into many problems so always best to match the lighting up and take the proper steps before just slapping yourself into 3D space
You can also use tracking points on the green screen to film while moving and use that to automate the composite plane and camera which will allow you to use your physical camera movements. To control the lighting from within blender you can use a pure white light while filming and then use nodes to relight your composite organically .
@nomicwave yes that is definitely something that can be done. I typically try to light as neutral as possible unless I have a specific vision in mind. Often I find it is not necessary to use tracking points (especially on simple scenes like this) unless the shot and final vision is more complex.
@@purpleparkstudios4124 true the tracking isn’t always necessary but it’s a time saver that most people don’t know about. The relighting shader though is a must since you can create a preset of it and use it for any footage on any scene and it will work regardless. So you don’t even think about it. It will also give you the option to change the lighting or scene on demand.
In Eevee, check ambient occlusion settings and screen space reflection settings. You can increase the distance and thickness of the shadow. Be sure the footage is set to alpha hashed.
At 0:09 your shadow is to the front and the scene before had shadow to the back and it seems a bit strange and I think the highlight colour should be matched better as well,I'm not an expert, just saying what I have on mind

@@purpleparkstudios4124 Bro, you have peaked my interest in picking up blender, I saw a favourite band of mine use maya to just model where they were going to draw their characters, I wanted to do it in blender as it is open source but I also wanted to make something like this, looks like I have some work. if your curious about the music video search for: freak kitchen - freak of the week
