very good and as usual captivaiting
32 years of age here... they were golden years 👏👏👏👏🎼🎵
Such a powerful, beautiful performance by such a tenderly handsome Carreras. He never fails to draw me into the music.
El gran tenor español, magnífico José Carreras!!!
Grazie......fantastico....
Sei unico caro Josep Carreras !!
Grande Josep !
Grandísimo Carreras!
Wow I liked it
Impresionante ❤
Simply the best💖💖💖
Great here
such honey in his voice
Thank you! This is a great performance. I have the full opera in vinyl 'pirate' recording. The voice of Carreras was superb that night. He performed a melodic version of the role. Not so dramatic yet great! More dramatic versions can be found in Del Monaco or even better at Corelli.
That may be, but Carreras gave the character more depth and humanity.
No version is more dramatic, vivid, and realistic than Giuseppe Di Stefano's.
@@maninironmask7925 I am in complete agreement. Di Stefano is the best I have ever heard.
Carreras was in his prime from his debut in New York through the 70's once the 80s came he was decline especially the top voice but still good until his illness
Well sung! Can you hear who his influence was in this performance?
Kaufmann can only clean his shoes...
Kauffmann hahahaha the bariton tenor??
@@ezequielborjas7116 Kaufmann is not a baritone. He is a lyric tenor pretending to be spinto
@@andrzejzborowski4920 Kauffmann has a horrible voice, " voce ingolata" says the italian.. for my opinión isnt a beautifull voice...
@@ezequielborjas7116 I agree with you. He had a beautiful voice when he was young, but with lack of support. Later he changed his tecnique, but I don't like it. Too much throat. As you write "voce ingolata".
The "limit of his possibilities" is so far beyond that of most mortals.
Grazie
Il limite è dentro.

Reines Rampengesikuliersingen über seine Verhältnisse. 🙉
There’s glimpses of beautiful singing, but his top notes are noisy Juan Diego Florez-esque screams
@@eluceanlestelle vero una voce bella a me è sempre piaciuto
Totalmente se acuerdo. Verdi no era para él.
Carreras very overrated.
Compared to who? This is a great performance
this era of carreras (77-84) is unmatched. go back to listening to juan diego flores
Oh I think you only need to hear the applause and all the bravo etc to know you are very wrong - Carreras was magical!!
early carreras much better than pavarotti
Also pavarotti is very overrated
Both sang dramatic roll by besiness
But voice is more suitable for carreras(actually he also not suitable dramatic roll)
Because carreras is lyric,
Pavarotti is reggero…
@@AlainArvelo I would go back to 1974- 1984. 1975-1976 were also terrific years for Carreras. (Boheme,Luisa Miller)
