I've only heard him and his music in the past couple of weeks and he's ready one of my favorite voices in hip-hop. Every Brockhampton member is talented but there is something special about Ameer.
Cal him and merlyn were gold on this
Still need to give Saturation a listen, but I discovered High Tolerance through Spotify and it's easily one of the best songs I've found this year. Looking forward to hearing him on this project.
Cal Ameer and Matt are fucking fire in this album. And Kevin, obvs.
They deserve a Grammy for this. It's unfortunate they won't just on exposure levels alone
They should have turned the exposure up instead of the saturation.

NDR3 it is sort of on the experimental side but not to the degree death grips is at all. It's a lot like Injury Reserve, if you liked this project listen to Floss by Injury Reserve
Even if you didn't like Saturation check out Injury Reserve. Floss is extremely underrated.

Yeah ditto for me Fantano! This is the first time since i started following TND where i had the album, i had my opinion then the review dropped it matched up almost perfect w my take. Not that i need it to happen for me to dig the content, but when it does?? DAMN(.) it feels good! Ha

Even if he puts "Its just my opinion, rt?" disclaimer in the description, it doesnt change the fact that he can affect sales/opinion to varying degrees in less mainstream genres (Ex: underground rap/hip hop, experimental, indie, metal genres etc) of for smaller artists. Imo its time for Fantano to drop the disclaimer entirely. Its his opinion, true, but its no longer *just* his opinion.

This was the first Hip Hop/Rap album I ever really connected with back in Winter 2017 and I checked it out because of this review. I remember working at shoe store for shit wage, age 24, cleaning the staff bathroom, listening to this for the first time because Anthony sounded so ecstatic about the album. I was nearly moved to tears when WASTE finished. I listened to the album a second time immediately. The BOOGIE video dropped like a week later and the rest is history.
HOW IS WASTE NOT A LIKED SONG, that’s one of the best closers of the decade, up there with To Be Kind and Guest House
He also said Face was his least fave but said it was a fantastic single

@@Alex_Nason Not super undeserved tbh. If Saturation is a 9 then I myself don't see TM being any higher than a 5. Not a 3, sure, but not much higher than that. Partly because literally all of their discography is so good, anything even slightly below par will stick out like a sore thumb.

i found kevin back in the late summer, and later found brockhampton. ive been excited for this album since they dropped the first single. This is probably my favourite hip hop album. I listen to this shit daily.

They never recovered from the loss of Ameer, not because of what he added to the sound, but due to the emotional toll of one of their integral members and best friends betraying their trust

as a 23 year old student i realy liked a lot of the topics presented here in a down to earth manner and as a music and rock fan I think you hit the nail on the head with the comparison, didn't skip a single track. Favourites: bump heat milk and fake
