Antique Victorian Amethyst Pearl Festoon Necklace 18ct Gold

A magnificent antique Victorian festoon necklace featuring five large oval-cut amethysts and three pear-cut amethyst droppers dangling from the bottom. They weigh between 3.5 - 10ct each (approx. 60ct total) and have a deep-violet hue with bright seed pearls dotted around the edge.
The chain consists of silky 18ct gold snake links that also festoon between each amethyst and lead to an engraved tube clasp at the end. It’s a regal piece, dating to the late 19th Century and showcases a luxurious collection of natural gems.
