Their marketing is really good but the product was mediocre but they are improving it with updates. The display was a bit of a turn-off. It is not bright and has thicker bezels as compared to other Android phones in the same range.

Custom ROMs support is actually really appreciated because even if you're not getting updates anymore from your OEM you can still prolong the life of your device. From a business perspective, that may not be a good thing from a business perspective because brands want you to buy their newer products, but for the consumer and the sake of reducing e-waste, it's a great thing to have.
Yeah I'll never buy a phone without custom ROM support for this reason. I want root, I should own my device enough to use it. I want Lineage, I should be able to flash it. IDC how cool your CEO is, the company isnt doing the world right if you can't own what you bought.

Honestly having a youtube channel with content like this, is a prime example that you guys know marketing in 2022. CZcams is a part of the majority of the free world's entertainment so making videos like these while also adding the level of transparency like flat out saying "yes we raised our margins because they were far too low" I hope you guys keep this up. While I haven't been convinced about making the acquisition, I'm still following the progress, the phone might be the next work phone that will replace the current OnePlus. I'm also waiting for a design more similar to Buds+, Momentum3 and Linkbuds S, all the other Pod ways ones have a tendency to fall out immediately or soon after in use. Great work.

Definitely make this a recurring series. No other product company CEO/higher ups do this kind of thing because they're overly concerned about appearing perfect all the time. Being open and receptive to feedback (positive and negative) and giving context to things like the clip about the Nothing 1 event being light on content and then you explained why, helps you as a CEO/execs and as a brand/company feel more human and that's something other big brands are terrible at.
This was pretty cool actually. Hadn’t seen their product videos, but getting their first hand experience makes me want to pick their products up and give them a shot. More of this please and keep responding to the user base… 👍👌

I think that if their camera performance (both video and photo) is really good and if their phones become optimised for certain social media apps, it would put them quite far ahead. Especially if they expand to other parts of the world which are not very Apple dominant.
These last few videos have been my 1st exposure to the Nothing team & I'm impressed, tbh I was considering buying the nothing phone but went for the pixel this year because of the telephoto lens, but if the nothing phone 2 has a telephoto then I'm in 👍👍

Ive been interested in Nothing since the Phone 1 launch, I'm absolutely ordering it through the US Beta very soon. And after finding this channel I'm even more interested in following the company than before. I really appreciate this level of self awareness and openly addressing criticism. It's not something that we see from anyone in the tech space really.
Love these reaction videos! Also, a Nothing 11" tablet with a 120 Hz OLED screen would be a day 1 buy for me, no matter the price. I'm currently using a Tab S7 Plus, but I've learned over this past year that it's actually too big to use comfortably. Unfortunately, if I want an Android tablet with a smaller screen, I'd have to be willing to lose either the 120 Hz refresh rate or the OLED panel, which I'm not. Would be awesome if Nothing could fill in this gap on the tablet market!

Thumbs up for including a simple Color Temperature slider within the Display Settings! Google couldn't be bothered to implement something like this by default, or at least for their Pixel phones, and they desperately need it, cause their factory color calibration is just bad! I don't know if the Nothing Phone (1) really needs any kind of calibration, but at least you can do it, if you want to. The option is there! Great job, guys! One more reason to switch to your phone.
Interesting that they left out the part where Andrew tells about how his Nothing Ear (1) had a recurrent issue. Left Earbud didn't charge while Right did, used another pair as well where Right had the same issue.
maybe this problem is gone now. Honestly, i watch a lot of video on Nothing and it's like people want statu quo: They only want Apple or Samsung. I love tech, i want competition. I want people buying Pixel phone, Nothing phone of course. I want Chinese smartphones to go back in US to compete. More competition means better products for us, consumers, tech lovers. Nothing Phone 1, first smartphone of a new little brand.

This was rather fun :) Didn't go with a Nothing phone as I didn't think I could pay for the Nothing 2 and the Nothing 1 seemed a slightly worse price to preformance compared to what was available but I do like the things you are doing there! Now just hoping you can make a modern version of a Nokia E90 There's just something to be said for real keyboards as that works so much better for some of us crazy people :D

Thumbs up for including a simple Color Temperature slider within the Display Settings! Google couldn't be bothered to implement something like this by default, or at least for their Pixel phones, and they desperately need it, cause their factory color calibration is just bad! I don't know if the Nothing Phone (1) really needs any kind of calibration, but at least you can do it, if you want to. The option is there!

Interesting that they left out the part where Andrew tells about how his Nothing Ear (1) had a recurrent issue. Left Earbud didn't charge while Right did, used another pair as well where Right had the same issue.
I wanted to bring up the same point.
But kudos to NOTHING. At least they are trying to stand out from the crowd.
maybe this problem is gone now. Honestly, i watch a lot of video on Nothing and it's like people want statu quo: They only want Apple or Samsung. I love tech, i want competition. I want people buying Pixel phone, Nothing phone of course. I want Chinese smartphones to go back in US to compete. More competition means better products for us, consumers, tech lovers.

Didn't go with a Nothing phone as I didn't think I could pay for the Nothing 2 and the Nothing 1 seemed a slightly worse price to preformance compared to what was available but I do like the things you are doing there!
