What a coach Scholoni is!! Before him, I still remember Arg lost to Ger in WC 2014 final, 2/3 consecutive Copa America finals(I don't know the actual numbers). Those were the heart breaking moments not only for Messi and Argentina but also for us fans. But in Scholoni era, Arg have wone 2 consecutive Copa Americas, 1 La Filassima and 1 World Cup. I think it is fair to say he is one of the greatest Arg coaches ever.

Lamine Yamal should have had like 2 Goals, he still needs to work on his finishing but one thing that he's clearly already good at is chance creation and decision making, guy has 4 assists, 4!
I agree. I do think he’ll probably become primarily a goal scorer when he hits 21, but these next 3-4 years will be him creating chances and missing them.

Messi didn’t even achieve that. It will take miracles for him to get to the levels Messi did but he’s one of the few young lads who has a real shot
Actually he has 28 Goal Contributions for club and country this season, 17 G/A for Barca and 11 G/A for Spain while playing 3850 minutes in all competitions for club and country.
Basically, he has provided a goal contribution every 137.5 minutes on an average he has played this season. This average is better than many players in his age bracket.
But I still genuinely think that he needs to work on his finishing. He could have finished as the Top scorer of Euro 2024 if didn’t miss those chances against Georgia and England.
That is my ONLY criticism of him as of now. He will have to improve his finishing ability if he genuinely wants to be called world class!

Could you imagine if Flick converts Fati to CF and gets him back to his best. A front 3 of Nico Fati and Lamine would be nuts. The counter attacking alone with be nuts and the interchnaging they can do across the front. You throw in a 10 that can become a CF and you have one of the besr front 4s in world football.

Spain was amazing at the Euro. There were very small hiccups and I was amazed by how Spain show their colors and their style the whole time through.
As for Copa America, I felt like Messi was trying to be more of support player than main player. Yeah, Argentina is build around Messi... but through out the tournament, felt like he wasn't really the main player. Often time they build the play without him involved. He even gave Lautaro a PK to help him boost his confidence. Felt like Messi talked with Scaloni to make sure to make other Argentines shine and let him be the support roll.
