      I honestly never heard that in slow mo, I gotta admit, that feels epic. Imagine a scene where a soldier makes the last winning shot with that, the reverb of the slowed ping just adds to the vibe... idk, I'm daydreaming, I loved it

      Garand spent 17 years at the Springfield Armory designing not just the Rifle but all the machinery needed to mass produce that Rifle. Those self ejecting enbloc clips were better than the stripper clips used in most of European countries at the time and they are less bulky than modern magazines.

    I will always regret not buying one. My Dad landed on Normandy with one and carried it until the end of WW2. That was when Americans were real men and Nazis where real nervous.

    I just found a box of M1 clips on the shelf, i reboxed them & there was 119 of them in there. In the 70s i got ammo at the range in clips for 80 cents ea. Then a sporting goods store had clips for 5 cents ea. Since they don't seem to ever ware out I'm set for life along with my decendents.😊

    Forty years ago, the gun I was using in my Japanese military training was an M1. It was a very good gun, very easy to maintain, highly accurate, and easy to handle.
