I had one of those too back in 01, we had to put a deposit down because they were selling before they hit the dealership floors. As long as you didn’t stall it mid moto it was great! Kinda cool how the oil went through the frame too.

Hey you need to seriously rethink this. You need to keep that yz250f. You need to keep both bikes. These bikes are a peice of history winning all the motocross action shootouts year after year. They will hold value. These bikes are both in high demand and hard to obtain.

@@bigironjakesd619 Yamahas are good bikes. I have a cousin that is racing supercross and he rides a yz450f and a yz250f. It’s never given him issues through the races so they aren’t trash. They’re all pretty good bikes and Yamaha is one of the higher horsepower motors so don’t hate too much.
For the kart go to Bushnell or Anderson MotoSports Park.. And the 250 make it a Supermotard..

the new YZ250F is bad stock, but is designed to be modded. twisted mx makes a kit that adds another injector, and they do drill out the airbox. that's how star Yamaha is making all that power.

@@RogerT-kt3zdcan tell you have had a bad experience with yamaha 😂 my brother has a 22 yz125 monster edition and it has 120+ hours on the stock piston. We did take it apart once to see what it looks like and safe too say all it'll need is a new piston ring. The only thing that was upgraded on it is the exchaust and a lectron carb the bike runs finaminal and is a really good bike coming from a ktm supermini.
Is there going to be anymore 2 stroke rebuilds or restorations ?

He gave that bike no chance 🤣 it needs a tune and exhaust and those issues go away if he hasn’t tuned it then it’s in factory mode
they changed the bottom end on purpose. thats why you can change engine maps or change a sprocket to give more bottom end
All I did is put a map in. The bike rips!

Hate watching these smooth rider videos. You need to be power dumping the clutch in every corner, completely exhausted because you hold your breath for 3/4 of the track and pick the worst choppy line in every corner. That’s how I do it. 😂
