- Land of Italy is the new map from @edomodding who bought us the equally stunning Italia map. This map has been created in partnership with Sukaz Farmer the original creator of the map back in FS13.

I rarely play non-UK maps on FS, but this looks so pretty I might pay it a visit. Stunning detail in the buildings - I liked the way that within old rustic farm buildings there were modern facilities for the cows and pigs. And you can make wine!

Ive allready played a few hours o this map and my top 3 is complete togheter with Italia Emilia Ext. and HofBergmann are by far the most beautifull maps to play on this beautifull game FS22. Keep up the good work!!!

This is an amazing map, very detailed thru and thru. I wonder if they include that monster feed mixer at the Dealership 😲Thank You for giving us the grand tour, I would be spending hours just walking around and admiring all the old buildings and such. 😀

Great map, thanks for the introduction! The quality looks amazing! It looks like it is a bit more accessable and 'easy to play on' then the previous Edomod map.
For top maps, I can't get over how good Castelnaud is. Also contains a lot of custom models on a very high level and it is lovely to play on! That is still my nr1 map to play on.
Yes Castelnaud is 100% one of my favourites in FS22 I have a private game going on it with over 200hrs already 😳
There is something things that makes me want to play on this map in terms of productions.
At least you have a better eye for details, have seen things in your video here that I haven't seen in the past video. So thank you for the great map tour

Thank you for showing that map FSG! One question though: Does this one have also that awesome loud music playin while loading? It always made me jumpscare. Oh and also, the fact that your choosed a Land Rover to drive around in an italian map made me chuckle a bit... 😂

Yeah, the town is nice and cozy, but very small as you said yourself. I remember Emilia as much bigger and greater mountains and views
I think this map is a great opportunity to really have a good go at the vine work. I have been avoiding it on most maps
Yes that winery looks like it has loads of potential
After spending a lot of time on Emilia and now on LoI, I'm not sure how much of the map was brought forward from 13, but its very apparent that the authors don't like to, or use at all, AD or CP. Several of the fields don't have enough boundary space between them, so CP just sees one big field when there are two or three next to each other. All the vineyards are just short of having enough room on the headlands where grape vehicles can't make the turn. I created some maps and mods in my early days, and I never designed anything where I forced other Users to play a certain way. Also when you butt is sitting a a vehicle that lives in a 2D world, but your eyes in the real world navigate in 3D, you have depth perception that servers you judgment. So, its not always wise to create with a 100% of realism, when designing any PC game / map, you have to sacrifice some realism over to playability for the User. I just don't see that with these guys, they have like a one-track mind.
Each to their own, I know a lot of people loving this map (me included) I saw this as a map where the fields are so small and it’s so compact that you have to play a different way on it, I’m enjoying the manual aspect of it. It never even crossed my mind to use Courseplay on it because it’s just not that kind of map. Green Mountain that I reviewed yesterday is the complete opposite, CP and AD all day long to get the most out of that bad boy
Also I should add no one is forcing any players to do anything, if the map isn’t for you that’s ok, we’re spoilt for choice so find a map that does match your play style.

oh man, a restaurant sooo near to a field with crops...
The Farmer should be REALLY carefull with the Manure spreader... and I think the Restaurant is closed in spring, because of that. xD

3 hours since this vid. Love it
I played his Italia Emilia and that was one of the best maps I had seen, especially with add HD texture pack, but it was plagued with weird collisions preventing you from leaving any of the one laned (two-tacker) drives into a field edge, you could only enter most fields where its drive was located. I have spent two days on Land of Italy, even though its another great looking map, Its very hard to maneuver your equipment on this map, He stepped away from Giants base-game physics, all the road signs and wooden post near the roads edge do "not" beak away, instead they will stop tons of your equipment dead in there tracks. I also did not care for the very closed-in store, I would have spawned purchased items out in the front, or laid things out so it was easier exit / access. The authors designs though he has great architecture with buildings, leads me to believe he's never driven tractors / equipment, or a truck and trailer. Many of the corners have light poles way to close, its like he thinks vehicles and there trailing equipment make perfect 90 degree corners and there is no arch in the equipment being towed. Not sure what is going on, but my CP course do not work, all the fields with utility poles in then, CP does not see them, and CP does not make tracks around them. I looked at this map in GE, once again he has done some really weird things. Also most the garages for vehicles are way to small, even if you have small equipment, half of it won't fit between the support poles. Its like the author sets out to make parking and driving around the map as tough as possible with only few inches on either side for clearance. He tried to make some things very realistic, then in other things throughs realism out the window.
Interesting, I played a lot on Emilia, and while there were collisions on the posts I didn’t have too much of an issue avoiding them, agree you had to concentrate while driving but it was very playable in my opinion
Until you use AI or AutoDrive, AI just not as talented as real Users. Open Emilia in GE, get on one of the one laned drives in between fields, use the Play button on the top menu, and you will see just off to the side of the lanes there are red collision markers about a half meter high, they are not on all lanes, but most of them. Definitely stop all equipment in their tracks. if you leave a lot of fields on Land of Italy, you will notice a really hard bump, lot of equipment almost hangs up when leaving the field and going onto the lane. I tried to set courses on several fields, and CP was plotting a course where the edge of the field was taking in the entire one lane roads surround that field, I had to keep moving my tractor to different places on the field before I could generate a good course that did not include the lanes. I don't know how familiar you are with GE, but if you poke around on the map, once again just like Emilia, the author has done some weird things. What happens when you drive a 5 - 10 ton tractor tractor into a road sign, it snaps off or gets flattened, just can't understand what anyone would want this types to be solid, and not brake away, where's his realism in that. @@TheFarmSimGuy

Ringwoods by Stevie has gotta be close to beating it. This one has got the real local flavor though.
I've got to disagree, It's a good map, but not in the same league, too many base game buildings and reused assets.

Give my opinion after watching :~) Okay so, Yep sure is. Was shocked when you didn't get back out to put the barrier back down, naughty naughty ;~) On the pda what is the dotted blue line that surrounds part of the map for? Not the edge of the map notification but the one that runs between F23 F24 and F25 down and round F46 and up towards F15 etc.
How's the performance of the 4090 going?? I'm doing a complete rebuild in Feb for my uni course, 7800x3d, 96gb ram along side the MSI Supreme liquid 4090. Cant wait to get on and build it. FS is going to look soooo goood

I’d say different, hard to compare the two in anything other than the quality of the buildings and models
Personally I think Italia Emilia is still better in terms of landscape and buildings, is it just me?? More mountains, grape yards etc.. But my only problem is that Italia Emilia destroyed all progress and my Fs22 game and saves. So I am considering this map. Just downloaded Hof Bergman 1.3 though. Please try convince me big time. Looks like you have catched som nice spots/angels and graphics looks a bit higher than the last video I watched
You would be correct, Emilia is better than this map, much better layout of the landscape with rolling hills, and the amount of work put into the road system far exceeds Land of Italy.
Sounds like another issue rather than the map losing your game save. Possibly s corrupt mod that crashed the game. Hard to tell
