This is the 2nd "From the Lab" episode that Daniel Sheikh has recorded for the channel. (April 2021 - NWA 14008)
Daniel Sheikh is an experienced meteorite classifier and Geology PhD student at PSU. He shows us the scientific process of confirming and classifying a sample as a real meteorite.

I am also MS Physics, UT. I have found a meteorite on my 40 acres here in WY. It is about twice as big as my fist, magnetic, with a rollover lip all the way around. You can clearly see its orientation while entering the atmosphere. In the rear, you can see that while it was molten the pillows of molten stone flowed toward the back and folded over. This thing is completely intact and quite amazing, I don't want to cut it until someone besides me confirms it is indeed a meteorite. How do I get pictures to you? When you see this I am sure you will be surprised. Let's see what you think.
