the mats remind me of texture blankets I had made for Children's hospital in Houston TX so many years ago. each square was different fabric, corduroy, velvet, cotton, terry cloth. So glad these are being made for our elders!
First!! Wonderful thing they do!! I spent almost 30 years as a CNA taking care of folks with Alzheimer's....then My Uncle and Mother were diagnosed within a month of each other and died a few months of each other.
Bless your soul! My daughter has been a CNA for about 15 yrs. It is one of the most under appreciated and under payed careers in the medical field!! There is a special place in Heaven for care givers like you and my Daughter!!! God Bless you folks!!

How could I contact these wonderful women? I would like to do something like this for our local homes. I no longer live in Texas but miss the generosity of the people there. I was a quilter that did donation quilts.
Dear Ladies I just had to let you know I'm in a nursing home. I make fidget aprons out of old bluejeans and lots of mazes,dolls,teddies, I hand make for dementia victims.
God bless this group of women who bring a smile to these elders.

When my mom had alzheimers I would color in a coloring book and she would color in hers and it made her calm and happy.
