We did not have landline phone service for almost a year because every time they would fix it the stupid squirrels would chow down on the telephone wires. It never stopped until Ohio bell replaced all the 50 year old wires. The squirrels don't like the new wires.
My husband and I took a week long trip without our 8 year old for the first time back in July. We've never left her for more than a few days. It was the best trip. We won't be able to do something like that every year, but we will definitely do it again.

I think the sweater was really pretty! What an exciting trip you had! It was nice seeing the pictures. Speaking as someone who has been married now for 38 years I can attest to the fact that yes, it is very important for husbands and wives to get a way for a while from time to time. It's so nice that you have a supportive family that is willing to step in when you need that. Not only is it good for you but it is also very good and healthy for your kids to have that time with their grandparents and aunts and uncles. :)

Squirrels chewed through a neighbours electrical system in his car when they were away on vacation. Apparently many of the wires are now covered with a soy based covering and they love it. Your sweater is lovely. The colour suits you.

Nice video. Do not go by the negative opinions of others. The lilac/purple looks great. You wore red once and that was fantastic. I think teal, light and dark blue, maroon with a pink vest or scarf and even orange would be nice on you.
I love how you hugged your son, and he didn't protest. Boys get to a certain age where they don't want to be around their parents.
I like linen too, but it wrinkles so fast. It also has to always be dry cleaned.

After seeing you make several things from “Hope’s Table”, I decided I needed one. We now live in southwest Missouri and we have a Mennonite store close to us and they had it. I told my husband that I wanted one. He got me one for Christmas. My mom was visiting and made the fried apples from it. They were good. Now she wants one. We will be getting her one also. Your sweater looks lovely on you. Spring is coming or almost here and yes, bright and it lifts you up. The color makes your skin tone look so bright and yet tan if that makes senses. You look so relaxed. I loved the floral dress you showed in your vacation group photo.....absolutely beautiful on you. Yes, marriages need get aways to refresh and renew and make it a priority at times. We know when we get to a breaking point of doing so much with the children, extended family and friends and you just need to spend time and remember when it was the two of you.......and also learn to appreciate again all that spouses do for one another. I know through 58 years of marriage we have not done that enough and we even need to do it more. With children, grand children and great grandchildren........it's a lot and we all need those "BREATHE moments!!
