Join us for rare insights into the development of Killer7, and see how he answers some of the tough questions and hypotheticals we posed to each other throughout our playthrough.

When I started this video, I didn't expect to learn that Suda51 would prefer to be eaten by Zooey Deschanel.

8:00-9:05 I love how genuinely honest SUDA here was about how much was cut with the game and judging from how fans got ahold of quite a bit of beta content through a leak some time back. It really makes me hope that we do someday get a 'Complete Edition' of the game in some form with the help of Capcom (who probably would be down for something like that), it sounds like something that could change the world of Killer7 HUGELY.
Agreed this is one of those games that didnt sell super well at release but through mouth and ear it got alot of love and new fans for killer 7 and suda as well through the years.

I almost felt like some of the early questions were already fielded to Suda beforehand. The translator answered some questions as soon as they were asked.
I'm only 10 minutes in, but isn't the video just cut that way? I take it that way that they just cut nearly everything Suda said out, and just "presented" what the translator said.

Killer7 came out my freshman year of college and made me a life-long Suda fan. This was a real gift to his fans, thank you!
Listening to Suda answer these questions is very enlightening. I wish this would become a regular thing for Super Replays, but I know that would be incredibly difficult to do. Though, I'm sure many of us would be interested in an Overblood special episode like this. And I just got to the list question part. This is pretty amazing.

It looks great and is still as fun as i remember it.

I have always said this. Reiner unabashedly loves video games. Like, a genuine uncompromising love that is apparent in every video he's in. I've been a fan of his for many years, even since I read his reviews in the magazine.
When you guys started asking the very weird questions from past replays to Suda, I thought it was so funny every time he would hear the question and then gasp and look astonished at how ridiculous the question was haha. He was such a good sport and answered the questions perfectly. Loved this video and this entire Super Replay is def my favorite of them all!

Loved this episode! It’s amazing how dedicated the GI staff are to their fans even though replay doesn’t do huge numbers. Really shows they care and as a longtime fan I really appreciate it!
I've always said Gameinformer is extremely underrated. People love Giant Bomb, and so do I, but GI isn't talked about nearly as much, and it should be.
Even with the language barrier it's like he's one of the GI crew
I love how Suda just rolls and very much enjoys the questions. Makes me wish I fluent in Japanese and was able to hang out with him for a day. Also, I really love how he wants easier access to all his games. He did a great job on both Silver Case and The 25th Ward. Can't wait for Killer7 on Steam.

This is a great interview, the translator did a fantastic job and the mix of serious questions at the beginning with the more jokey questions at the end was a good format. Suda51 was fantastic and his answers were great too. The interview was laid back, fun, and informative (I'll be getting that PC port). I would love to see more videos like this.
What a cool dude (translator was awesome as well). Wish I was interested in more of his games. I liked the one he did with that ex-Resident Evil director (forgetting his name). Anyone have any suggestions of what to look into if I wanted to get into more of his stuff?
Smackems I'm not sure how much work he actually did on it, but Lollipop chainsaw is a recent (PS3) game of his that's funny and overall quite enjoyable. It's probably his most "normal" and western friendly game and he did it with James Gunn (the guy who did the GotG movies).
I can’t believe Reiner actually got Suda to be on here. That’s awesome! Stuff like this is why replay is the one and only lets play show I watch. Keep up the awesome content guys! Also, Suda should be a regular. He’s great and has awesome chemistry with you guys. Lol

My god you guys are the luckiest. Killer7 is my 2nd favorite game of all time, closely following Ocarina of Time. And even though I'd absolutely love to hang out with Miyamoto while playing OoT- Hanging out with Suda while playing Killer7 would be the most insane experience ever O_o

Honestly though who gets a long-form interview with the guy behind one of the most notoriously complex and cryptic games of all time, who hasn’t been involved with anything nearly as elaborate or interesting or personal in years, and then mostly just asks him about T-shirts and cereal mascots while playing the literal worst version of the game in front of him. Talk about a wasted opportunity.
This is pretty on brand, tbf. As Suda says in the interview, the ambiguous and cryptic nature of his stories is intentional: he'd never go for a straight Q&A about it
30:50 - I so hope Suda gets inspired by their time travel idea and puts some loonie characters in a game that does this x)
For anyone who wants to have the slightest idea of what the storie is about for this game I suggest you look it up on Wikipedia because I got the bare bones of what the story actually is understanding it for the most part.

You should release Hand in Killer 7 in English into a few Anglophone markets to collaborate with the release of this game.
God do I wish half the stuff in Hand in Killer7 would be made into a game someday. Like Killer7 remade to the full length or something.

I just rewatched this video and I was wondering if GI knew that the Steam version is coming and doing what every good video game outlet would do and set up this whole Super Replay and finish it just in time for Suda to announce it. And I'm really curious how they got Suda in the GI office. Was he just around or flew there just for the show? These subjects really need to be answered.

I didn't pay too much attention to the gameplay, except I did notice horrendous character switch loading times. Hopefully its a lot faster on PC. Would never have considered this game without the super replay

I like that you asked all the crazy questions you had but I would like you to ask more of the kinda serious questions about the game, like you asked about the winged anime girl with faces on her back. I would ask about the art style, especially all the weird colors of the world around you, the walls and stuff. They have some cool effects on them. Or how they came up with the voice of the past victims who appear as ghosts, or the connection between Kun Lan and Iwazaru because it was confusing for me.
At 20:20 what agreement did Suda mention?

Even worse, the GC controller fits perfectly and as Suda said, the game was designed with the GC controller in mind.
