Eggcellent Protein Progress

The results keep growing from ASA/WISHH’s USDA Food for Progress Poultry Project that concluded its activities in Ghana in 2019. Ghanaian poultry farmers, like Mathew Bonso, continue to make progress and recognize the value of their long-term partnership with WISHH that has leveraged soy checkoff and USDA resources. Bonso prefers U.S. Soy protein for his growing flock that already produces 8 million eggs a year. WISHH Chair Roberta Simpson-Dolbeare, an Illinois soybean grower, and WISHH Treasurer Bob Haselwood, a Kansas soybean grower, explain why this partnership is a win for both Ghana and the United States.
