Switzerland Basel - Rhine swim (Rhein schwimmen) after work

#Rheinschwimmen a must during summer, float in the Rhine through #Basel for max. 30-45 min (3 km/1.8 miles). Starting point near Tinguely Museum, carry your belongings in a waterproof bag. You may exit at any suitable point. Stay within the area marked by buoys. Last exit before Dreirosenbrücke. Don't miss it, the harbor area begins behind it.

You should only swim in the restricted area and not towards the middle of the river. You can drown.

it's not very deep if you stay close to the riverside, but the current is pretty strong in some parts
