I think that was because this game was made before the conception of a "fighting Yoda". Before the prequels existed, Yoda was seen as a wise master of the force, not as a duelist
Can't tell which exactly, but I remember several games where his body or just the head got chosen as savegame icon, even on newer consoles still, guess he was the "savegame mascot" so to speak
@@poruumusic not to talk trash on the Prequels, I love those movies, but Yoda is one of the rarer characters who's at his most badass not when hes going ham on his foes but when he's just being his wise, insightful self. Like Professor X, it's not his insane power that makes him so badass, but his wisdom and ability to touch the souls of those who know him

I think if I remember correctly originally Anakin in Phantom Menace was supposed to be like 12 or 13 and Padme was 16 but they hired the young actor for Anakin and they kind aged him down by like three years so in the movie Anakin is 9 and padme's 14

I just gotta love the fact that out of all the possible names available they went for the most obscure one. Did they think translating a "Steel Hand" into Finnish gave it an aura of mystique and exoticism? :::D
It gave it just the right amount of _sisu_ and _perkele_ to be a viable way of fighting against Jedi.

Rolfe's reaction to this is how I feel any movie only fan would react to most stories in Legends. Not in a "this is bad" way (maybe), but sheer bewilderment at some of the madness in those stories. Just think of how weird it would be to someone like Rolfe to see the Yhuzan Vong who are Force resistant even though everything in the movies tells us how the Force affects all things.

It's not just light Saber most sword or any other sort of cutting weapon work this way there really work more like batons that occasionally do let you cut them up with a special move or once there health is depleted enough to activate some actual cutting dismemberment animation that kills them.

great to see real avgn episodes back but the production values have been drastically cut down, from an average script to nothing like the quality of work we have seen in videos like bugs bunny and batman where there was so much acting and prep time. p.s. saddam was here. gamers rule.

Pronunciation of teräs was actually pretty close. Käsi is a totally different story but I guess Finnish pronunciations are very far from English.

Teras Kasi is a form of martial arts in Star Wars. Some of the places you can learn about it are in the novels Deathstar, MedStar 1 Battle Surgeons, and MedStar 2 Jedi Healer
I used to play this one a lot. With enough time u can get the hang of it and pull off combos and special moves. To me this was actually a pretty bad ass game. Theres even special moves and combos that the game wont tell u about. If u can pull em off youre a beast. I wish they would remake it.

Ahh that magical use of Finnish language from the time in the 90's when Lucasarts developers took the weirdest language they could find and picked some random words. Steel hand!
Fun fact: "Käse" also means "cheese" in German. The fact that putting an "i" at the end of a word in German is basically the equivalent of putting "ey" or "y" at the end of an English word makes this game's name sound like "Masters of Teras Cheesy" in German.

I actually rented this game, years ago, and I think the most fun me and my siblings got out of it was imagining what befell characters upon getting ring-out in each individual stage. Eaten by a sarlacc in the desert, frozen in carbonite in that chamber with the yellow lights on the floor, etc.
