  • My predicted All Blacks Team for the first test in 2024 against England in Dunedin.
I have gone for consistency and experience where mostly possible, with form considered also. This is going to be a real test and the All Blacks should avoid too many risks. This lineup will offer a very fast and exciting game plan, without sacrificing the physicality required to take on England...(?)
Let me know what you think!
    1. Ethan de Groot
    2. Cody Taylor
    3. Ofa Tu’ungafasi
    4. Patrick Tuipulotu

Nice work sir - ALB in mid-field and Jordie back to full back if injuries occur sounds like perfect sense to me. All the captains in the forwards makes sense also.
    Cheers, Ross

So much versatility at the All Blacks disposal, let's see how close I get to the final team... Thanks for watching.

Great lineup and understand your choices. Ofa needs a start after a long period of coming off the bench.. He has huge game exprience same as Luke both are game breakers as well. Mean front row coming off the bench too. Christie will be fresh. I believe Anton Linet- Brown will be near or around there too

Thanks for watching. I agree, Lienert-Brown misses out by a whisker, and versatility doesn't necessarily help his starting credentials...

Hey there! It's going to be an exciting game. I'm curious to see how the forward pack will perform, especially with a few older players in England's front row, lol
But I remember a similar team winning the World Cup. They'll probably target Dmac a lot, hoping to overpower him.
Can't wait to see Sititi in action!
    Kia ora!"

Such a big game, I'm attending with some England fans so wish me luck!
The most interesting aspect will be the forward battle for sure.
Sititi is the future, only a matter of time... and I can't wait to see him get his chance!
      Thanks for watching!

Ofa Tuungafasi - big fan but disagree and should be Lomax!
Papali'i - over-rated should be Savea 7 but they will play Savea at 8
Christie - would not surprise me that they go with Christie BUT I think they will go with Perenara because of experience
Reece - would go with Clarke BUT I think you are right here as Robertson will go with Reece
    Perofeta - he is a 10 not a 15!

Agree with all of that, thanks for your thoughts. Hopefully Papali'i can step up with some consistent game time. Good call on Perenara, and will be interesting to see how Perofeta goes. Enjoy the game!

Of Tuungafasi is a weak Tighthead at international level - and doesn’t often play there at any level anymore, despite his reputation for ‘playing on both sides'. That is a bad selection for starters.

Two weeks ago he was a major reason the Blues won the Super Rugby Final. He’s most likely going to be up against the young Baxter.. who would you prefer?

Aumua has surpassed both Taylor and Taukei'aho this year and Lomax is the worlds premier tight head. We haven't reached the second row and i'm out already - have a good day.

Oh no you missed the best parts! I don't disagree, although I did have some reasoning behind the Front Row selection - Lomax was injured for 5 weeks before returning for the Super Rugby semi-final and I don't think has had enough game time to start, and Ofa can play both sides of the scrum. Taylor has the experience, and Aumua's impact off the bench is better than most. Happy to be wrong - let's see what the men in charge think. Thanks for watching at least a few minutes...!
