I think he's the best back talent we have in NZ. Hoping to see him in the 13 jersey for AB's later this year. Shout out to Will Jordan too. The sooner the AB's start him at 15 the better.
One dropped ball on the try line and my USO is being bombarded by the home nation for that this year forgetting that he’s been scoring tries like that time and time again?remember when he scored that try against England in the 7s finals when he first burst into the scene at 17 years of age? It’s a signature try move.Rokocoko had one.I’m sure all players had one in mind when crossing over. One bad play like that does not have to define a player’s character. We Are Rugby Nation. We Are Rugby Family. We Lift Anyone and Everyone that’s lagging. We Help,We Uplift,We Encourage for the good and betterment of the sport.Much love from Fiji.🤙🏻
Sorry to spoil your statement, but I’m pretty sure he lost another one against Argentina in the second test right on the 79th minute. Nevertheless, he’s scored some insane try’s. Hoping he’ll mature like his brother and focus on the game and develop his other skill sets. i.e kicking game and defence patterns if he wants to lock down the 13 jersey.
Rieko is the best All Black player right now. It has always been him or Barrett since the lions series. People tend to forget how he made the British & Irish lions look average. His stats are far better than people think
Where is the video on his blown tries? I don't wish to seem unkind, I love his work. Glad to see the young man is finishing more carefully this year. Keep that up Reiko.
Will we see this young man again on the field 2021+ hope so. In the meantime getting older & much more humble / mature perhaps.? He certainly was a thrilling entertainer
Reiko is an extraordinary talent, i am a big fan but it says a lot about him and the current all black management that after bombing a try, he continues with and is allowed to continue placing the ball with one hand, when there is a safer method available, which watching this video he is aware of.
I don’t see people complaining when he got those 25 try’s with one hand😂 Then all of a sudden after one drop ball everyone’s a expert on how to place the ball down smh
@@henrywragg8710 shake your head all you like son, the first thing we coach kids to do is hold the ball to your chest and fall over with it. For him to have come all this way and cost his team a try, and possibly the game is disgraceful, and you defending the indefensible is beneath you mate, as is foster not saying you're a great player son, but this is how we score tries in the all blacks. And if he cant do it properly, there are plenty of others that do. You dont need to " be an expert" ro know that. Just to have coached kids.
@@joedennehy386 Even the great Colin Meads was known to place the ball with one hand from time to time, but to suggest he cost the game when the ABs were well ahead at half time to then draw the match is unfair to suggest that it was Reikos fault for the outcome. What that game did do though was show how ABs were unable to close the game when opportunities were presented. Valuable lessons were learnt for all the players that day and will be very useful for each of them throughout their rugby careers.
@Joe Dennehy The Great *Christian Cullen* dropped the ball over the line in the same fashion wearing the Black Jersey, yet he never received the same criticism. That's Social Media for ya these days, everyone's a expert.

Would have been good if the coaches had mentioned something about the one-handed placement a bit earlier, rather than waiting until he made the inevitable mistake. This kid is an extremely talented player. Pity if his career is cut short due to one mistake and public vitriol.
Jeff Wilsons career continued after his celebrations before the try line while attempting to score what would have been the try to win the game, no player is perfect and they 0will be a lot harder on themselves than the public are, it's why they strive for excellence while the rest of us only dream about wearing the black Jersey.
Is there any tries where he holds on with both hands when he grounds it? If yes THAT ONE if no THEN NO TRY he scores they are far to risky AND HE'S A LIABILITY 😔
Hes fallen out of form quickly though. He hasn't done anything particularly great since 2018. It's a shame cause a lot of all black wingers seem to fall out of form pretty quickly. It happened to joe rokocoko, sitivini sivivatu and julian savea. Hopefully he'll be able to get back into top form again cause he was deadly when hes in form
He’s actually had one of his better years this season... he was arguably the inform 13 throughout super rugby and has been back to his best for the abs
And for NZ wingers falling out of form, it’s more so that we are breeding 2-3 new all black caliber wingers every year who steal the spotlight. Sevu and Bridge last year, Will jordan, Caleb Clarke, Mark Telea this year
@@ExeZylh how was ioane back to his best for the ABs in 2020? His worst year by far. Bombed a try and then made bad defensive reads and dropped a bunch of balls
Rieko Ioane is one of the best players in the world for the moment... But unfortunately he's an ego player that think more about his fame and not dat much as a TEAM player. He's definitively an unsportsmanlike player as just as Richie Mccaw was ..
The way he places the ball down is cold🥶(even if he did drop it once)
@Sean Smith yea cause imagine if he did it in a world cup final.
@Sean Smith needs to be humble for who? He’s in the 1% of people in no to put on that black jersey, he can carry on as much as he likes
Factsssss

Those set piece tries against Wales and France and how he burned the Lions in his second third try are my favs 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Exceptional talent

The spite in Phil Kearns' voice when he says "forward pass!" here is palpable.
Im aus and that wasnt even close to being a flat pass let alone foward.
Happy birthday Rieko

Omg that through the legs pass from beaudie at @4.50
Amazing player, may well go on to become greatest try scorer for AB’s.
4:17 hit the camera man
Hoping he makes the W.C in good form n no injuries
Phil Kearns's contribution.
"Forward pass"
He always sounds like he’s suffering from major haemorrhoids . Depressed haha
Lol, those ozys don't have the right to commentate any all black game, sick of those muppets butchering our poly names 😤
He's is a bitter man.
Thank God he's retired from commentary🥳🥳
He is sore loser lol
