thanks guys I'm going to put these on tonight , I went out an bought some really expensive zip ties ,not really I have the 2017 ss se an i love it but that lag in the pedal was a little much on hills
Got me a yxz yesterday because of you doug! Alread messed up an axle and bent a tierod due to user error....wife sure was happy about that! Was wondering if you guys were going to do a yxz oil change how too like you guys did on the sous xp1k. Keep up the awesome content!
My GUESS is that there isn't enough adjustment available for that, but I haven't tried it. This is defintely the "quick and dirty" fix, certainly a number of more elegant solutions...lol
why use zip tie just dont let off the throttle hahaha if you guys ever wanna ride with guys that ride like u guys in Michigan check us out. YXZ FOR LIFE
This isn't the YamiGod (the person formerly known as Doug) but worst case is what you'll break the zip ties and the pedal will go back to it's normal deadness.
There have been strong points and weaknesses to both, so it's hard to say which is "better". I can tell you I've had a ton of fun with both of them. When we trail ride and hit the dunes I like the YXZ more, when we go to Rocks and Valleys and get into the mud I wish I still had the Maverick. All about where you ride!
Try out the paddle shifter one, i got some seat time in the new 2018, it has some typical draw back, but seem that the paddle shifter has taken out most of the concern on clutch burning due to improper slipping and half clutching Still needs springs replaced or backed off and it is still a rough ride. .
did this to our wolverine. uses the same type of setup. works great. thank you.
Cheap and easy, Every guys favorite thing to hear!

Hey man awesome. Where are you located?
I am in defiance Ohio about 50 straight south of bundy hill takes me about an hour an 15 minutes to get there straight up 127
The play in the cable is the problem and that can be adjusted, it is in the user manual and pretty easy to do. Also free.
Thank you Sir. I have a manual and am doing by the book
My kind of girl "cheap and easy"!!!
Did the same thing to my police crown Victoria 👍 will do this to thr yxz as well

Hey Rene I thought we did an oil change vid?! Maybe not.....
Good idea
Just bought a wrecked16 yxz. Check engine light is on. Any way to scan it?
Do you still have those yellow YXZ fenders sitting up there? Do i got a shot at getting them?
Good one to throw out on the ol'youtube! Will have to tell my dad about this since it seems to bug him so much; I've just gotten used to mine
I couldn't stand it, give it a try, you might like it too. If ya don't it's real easy to just cut back off!
good mod. Doug is my faaaaavvvorite.
Thanks man, glad somebody likes me... lol
I like Doug, even tho he always looks stoned!
nice mod!
Doug could you remove the bushing all together and shorten the cable at the throttle body?
My GUESS is that there isn't enough adjustment available for that, but I haven't tried it. This is defintely the "quick and dirty" fix, certainly a number of more elegant solutions...lol
Bring back the 5 minute shorts again.
What brand zip tie do you recommend? Can i just swing by Harbor Freight?
Use code SXSBLOG @ Harbor Freight for a 0% discount on any "sure to break if you try to tighten" zip ties.

Is this mod reliable Doug? Wont leave me stranded will it? I hate the dead pedal area so bad!

Thanks Guys! And yes Doug is for sure YamiGod!
YEE YEE
Hay Doug is the yxz better than the maverick
Doug's hair says yes. I'm unsure about the rest of him.
