Today, we’re going to adjust the valve clearance and close up the top end of the engine. This will involve getting each cylinder into its compression stroke and then taking some measurements with our feeler gauges. From there, we can determine what shims we need to get the clearance correct.
Once we get the shims installed, we’ll wrap up this project by installing a custom cam chain tensioner, sealing up the top of the engine, and installing some spark plugs.
