I wish RFA and the Saxavord SpacePort much luck and success on their inauguration/maiden launch. Fly High 🚀
Looking forward for the launch event!
Safe flight RFA One!
Considering that I named their engine, Helix, I am 100% invested in their success! Keep my fingers crossed for them!!
If you have a hope that your variable COSTS will come down to the level of your competitor's PRICE, you are not competing. But i am still cheering for this project!
dude we get fruit shipped from New Zealand and whatnot in Europe, that argument about carbonfootprint for shipping a rocket seems so out of touch
Yes, and of course we must send an entire team of agrar specialists there, each with PhD, to retrieve the fruits....
It’s a cost that wouldn’t need to be factored in
Carbon footprint is probably an excuse. I see this mostly about geopolitics.
SpaceX is so far ahead. And they need viable competition. Good luck to Britain and Germany. I hope they work their kiesters off and grab a big chunk of the business.
Remember all the people who told you not to move to the UK? Not good advice, was it? You're where you belong doing what nobody else is paying attention to.
Thanks Angry Astronaut...! Keep going with your research and productions. Love your content...! Stay ANGRY about Space...! Cheers...!
I certainly hope to see you and your Producer ASN there for that launch
RFA one looks set to slot in 0:47 to the industry well. The question is, are there enough customers for their small set custom launch market? That can be addressed after they actually get to orbit.
The more the merrier and the more competition the greater the creativity.
Wow the last time a german rocket touched british soil was during the 1940's.
This time the flamey bit is touching instead of the nose. Much better.
@@wiregold8930 Yup
Wow. So cool 🇬🇧
Well, good news I suppose. But given the payload capacity of Falcon 9, its launch cadence, readiness, its years of 'flight-proven' status, and a host of SpaceX staff well-versed in all manner of orbital experience, this might prove to be an uphill (ahem) struggle.
So; entire national governments with unlimited involuntary funding are 'taking on' a private Corporation.
My money is on free enterprise and voluntary transactions.
Nice to see Europe are finally getting somewhere with their space program
I'd say that for the UK, but ESA has a fine reputation in space.
The shipment of the RFA One first stage to Saxavord really feels like we're now making progress towards a launch in Western Europe.
I'm also quietly confident that the combination of a German rocket on a British launch pad can be made to work🤞
Good, competition. This is good.
3:26 - 5 engines only at the mo.
@tomduneofficial broke this first last night. Good to see you both covering this 😊
Thanks for the shout out. The more eyes we get on the UK scene the better. Greatful to Jordan for his coverage too!
I would not bet on it, but I do wish RFA success. Hope you cover the launch.
🚀🏴☠️🎸
I'm waiting to see a UK built rocket launch from a UK spaceport. I may not live long enough given our stupid government's scientific illiteracy.
We also need spaceports other than in Scotland since if Scotland becomes independent (Don't rule it out) we lose our spaceports.
Nobody makes a milk bottle big enough to put the stick in!
Spaceport locations are highly constrained by geography. You can't wish your way into a local civilian spaceport. ICBM launchpad can be anywhere because the military don't need to care risk of causality that much.
The combined bureaucracy of Germany and UK will be able to get a rocket together just in time to cancel it around the time SpaceX lands on Mars.
Wake me when they reach orbit.
A launch cost less than one-half of Falcon 9 fairing cost. Nice.
Hope Saxavord with RFA has more luck than Goonhilly had with Virgin Orbit.
Spaceport Cornwall you mean….
#love The anger !
French Gianna apparently doesn't count being far away.
It’s part of France and therefore Europe apparently…
compaction is good.
They must be using ferrari parts
Well if their space program is anything like BMW/MINI then they'll be really luxurious, efficient, and beautifully designed..... but they are trash after 8 years and will need engine drive train rebuilds or replacements before 80,000 miles....
That'll only get them in the air long enough for gravity to pull them back.
My experience is my 8yr oldx3 87000 miles needed transfer case and transmission
My 10yr old x3 cracked the block at 96,000
My mini at 8yr the ECM crapped out 87,000 miles, and then at 10yr 97600 miles no obd2 codes, guys into limp mode diagnostic internal engine failure...
Oi, you rocket it's upside down mate
It’s just happy to see you🤤
Helium 3 breaks gravity mass equation
The stakeholders should fly you up, you are pretty much their one-man, unpaid PR department., no one else is covering them.
The BBC should be calling soon, they like Americans, they call Sal if it's a shipping story and you if it's space.
Germany needs reclaim its place in rocketry.
Just not in the same way, eh?😂
Germany has a crazy green government that is fucking up everything.
What do you mean? Aren't they doing it now, by supplying arms to an apartheid state.
#fireworks fire works lol
SpaceX needs to open a Launch complex in the EU.
Centred over the EU parliament building would be nice, especially when they are in full session and SpaceX has a RDA before lift off!
This channels is perhaps the only channel that is covering the historic work being done in western Europe. Go RFA!
Whats historic about it?
Ad Astra also did, yesterday.
Yes, historic that Europe has moved on from animated videos to pouring a 40 x 40 slab of concrete....go Europe! LoL
They are playing amateur league, not trying to take on SpaceX - that is a decade behind. With a small rocket.
its from Germany it will work.
