I love this. Such simple ideas that really look great. I am working on purging as we recently downsized. I have been trying to get classic pieces for the last few years and I am really having fun with simple things to change it up. I never thought of it as a capsule home but I really like that definition. I just fell in love with that vase so I treated myself to that and a couple of pillow covers since I have done such a good job purging the last couple of weeks.. I can't wait to play with a new look. Thanks for all of the inspiration.

LOVED seeing the different looks - you have so much to teach us!! With furniture placement I often go for symmetry but I think I prefer more asymmetrical pillow placement (as long as the weight is balanced on both sides - as you said) - it just feels less contrived and more inviting to the eye. Please do more of these "lessons" ! xoxo

Thank you for this!! I actually have been struggling with this right now- so you are a lifesaver. I bought the black flower embroidered PB pillows that you have- I fell in love with them bc of your decor- got mine in blue bc that’s my color scheme- anyway, they came in the mail and they don’t work- I’ve been trying to force it - bc they are soo pretty. But watching this video made me realize I need the ivory velvet pillows instead. They are more versatile and will play well in both my master and in my living room. I always love your videos and listening to you helps me process whatever decor challenges I am having. You are the best.

I liked the asymmetry of #4. I also like mixing square and lumbar pillows for more interest and comfort options. What I don’t like is pillows marching all along the entire back. It feels like overkill. I like seeing the back of the sofa for varying depth.

The champagne Lafco candle is my new favorite. It is beautiful and smells so good. I love your styles. I just find it so hard to keep a couch styled with peeps and dogs living on it. Love that your styles aren’t so complicated. Would love to see your ideas for unusual places in the home like stair landings, foyers, etc.

I just wanted to pop in and say I spent the day with you on youtube. I have it on my big TV and I have a keto home bakery. I watched you all day while baking and WOW. I love black and white classic. You are a joy to watch. Every minute is used wisely and I had to stop baking to restyle my CB2 coffee table. Everything you do is fabulous and you have a wonderful heart and spirit. Your house is everything I love! (although I need pops of color). Addicted to Valentina! I'm a food blogger, but decorating is my equal love.

I love all these looks. My couches are a dark neutral (but not as dark as black) and I always find it so difficult to find blankets that lighten them up but still look like they go together. Definitely think I need a teddy blanket in my life now though haha.

I just wanted to say that this time last year I binge watched your videos to try to make my 250 sq ft. micro apartment in NYC feel like a lovely home in the height of the pandemic when it was all I had. I stumbled upon one of your first videos about how you and your hilarious husband traveled the world with kids and what you learned from it and when you said you moved around because you wanted to "squeeze life to the very last drop" it really inspired me... Now I'm watching how to make my FB Marketplace couch look more stylish for my Amsterdam apartment :) Thank you so much for your energy and expertise!
