I'm devastated for Norway. They were my absolute fav and I though they would get more from both the jury and the public. Now excuse me I'll go watch Ulveham on repeat until I fall asleep in my chair.

I'm actually surprised too. First time I like a Norwegian entry in years. I found previous years quite cheesy even though they resonated with the public.
You could say they were the Blanca Paloma of this year. The ethnic entry which got a very muted public response.

Thank you all for supporting Croatia🇭🇷 this year. Baby Lasagna is our national hero and treasure and today is gonna be big program welcome program for him and his team on Zagreb. I admit, I cried last night because he lost the victory, it was so emotional. He united all Croatia yesterday, among other participants last years in the ESC absolutely nobody managed to do something like this. After all, we have to be fair and congratulate Switzerland🇨🇭. Ok, it was expected that 🇨🇭 will probably win the jury, but I really didn't expect that that big margine over all the others (France 🇫🇷 especially).
And my other, "secondary" disappointment is Norway🇧🇻. How the hell did they come last? My personal favourites is we exclude my own country. Absolutely shameful.

But then at the first semi final: that staging, the excellent camerawork, the steady vocals, the creativity to tell a story with so few stage props, the outfit reveal, and then those screams at the end: I don’t think I ever got tingles, shivers, and goose bumps in these amounts from a Eurovision act.
So fair play Ireland, really glad you took the risk, and congratulations 😁👌🏾🇮🇪

During the time Croatia and Switzerland had their entrants’ faces in split screen, I aged quitted immediately after counting the total televote score (counter began at 2204) and each time televote scores are announced, the number is decreased from my counter. After France’s score was announced, my counter showed 226 points left for Switzerland to win (183 was required). So my hope for Croatia was lost and I left the live feed.

It's not the same, last year it happend because it was Loreen. This year Nemo got even more jury points than Loreen did which makes me think the juries agreed on Switzerland because it was good but also, and especially, to avoid the risk of a certain country to win, which got an extremely high televoto with an embarassing number of countries giving 12 points. This doesn't speak in favour of the televote, I prefer the juries at this point

Well deserved Nemo! It was flawless, perfect voice, difficult song, with so many genres and they did great in any of them ( rap is my favorite part) and so energetic. Croatia, would have been for me also a great winner, I would have been very happy as well, and second place, I mean it is great! I think if the Netherlands would have sing, he would have taken so many points from the public, I for instance love europapa so much, it was my winner!

I'm Belgian and although we had the best song of this year, I agree the NQ was deserved. However, consider this list:
2006: Kate Ryan - Je t'adore: semi final
    2008: Ishtar - O julissi: semi final
2018: Sennek - A matter of time: semi final
2019: Eliot - Wake up: semi final
    2021: Hooverphonic - The wrong place: 19th
    2022: Jérémie Makiese - Miss you: 19th
2024: Mustii - Before the party's over: semi final
Some of these vocals and stagings were on point. The real problem is France never votes for us...

I'm happy that you found the right enthusiasm to make this video. It's true, the jury has once again decided the winner; I too would have slightly preferred a victory for Croatia. I didn't care about Eurovision this year since most of the songs seemed kinda mid and nothing stood out to me in particular, but i still decided to watch the finals with my sister. Switzerland was her favorite, and sure enough, after seeing that performance, i was like "Ok, now i hope THIS wins." I think people underestimate how insane that performance was. Nemo was rapping and singing falsetto while running around the stage without even breaking a sweat. I could not believe my eyes and ears. The song is also dynamic and exciting in a way that nothing else this year was (except for Ireland maybe). Very deserving winner imo. Croatia had a fun rock song, which is enough to make most eurofans go crazy, but it's not the second coming of Maneskin or anything.

I honestly think without that certain country starting with I, things would have been different. To me it feels like the jury really tried to boost Switzerland to avoid a potential catastrophic ending, while the televote almost gave us that ending. This clearly speaks in favour of keeping the juries for me. I wanted Baby Lasagna to win (I'm also happy with Nemo), but the risk of having that other country winning was extremely high and we can see that.
Also, without that country, I'm pretty sure the Netherlands would still be in and that would also have changed the game quite a lot.
Honestly we can't really make conclusions this year about what the jury or the televote prefers because the extremely heavy political situation disrupted it all. I really hope big changes are going to happen, replacing people in charge of ebu and excluding that country, otherwise it's all gonna sink and I'm losing all interest in watching something where an artist is excluded for no good reason and another can manipulate the televote, break the rules, harrass the other artists with no consequences and almost winning. Enough of this sh*t

    At the end of all that drama, I am quite happy with how it turned out, and I did have a good night. Some of these results were, as per in the contest SUPER wack;
    - NORWAY!! WHAT THE ACTUAL F-
    - -Rance did well on both televote and jury, indeed the big 5 were mostly not disgraced overall. 0 to the UK hurts, but I think the staging, while very professional, was a tad too risqué perhaps.
    - Croatia getting their best result since leaving Yugoslavia, Ireland getting their best this entire century, Switzerland winning after nearly 40 years... Loads of highlights, happy for so many of these countries.
    - KEEP THE JURIES. We all know what would have happened otherwise.

The problem is that there is a lot of wailing in the song and a long held note can sound good when it’s done well but it always feels like she’s trying to sing beyond her natural range and her voice is straining to get there. And, I get it’s ethnic but, ethnic things have been done much better than this. I expected it to do better but I will admit that I never particularly considered it to be a good song

Well, I got quite a few of THOSE wrong, but I always said this year was tricky to predict outside of the top five or so. Two years in a row I've got the winner wrong now. I think we all have to start ignoring the betting odds.
I was right about a certain country beginning with "I" getting a huge televote, and I wonder what it says about the UK as a Eurovision-watching nation that the public gave them 12 points.
Germany and Portugal were nowhere near my predicted finishing positions of last and last-but-one, and Norway woz robbed! I thought Finland might connect with the public a bit more, but whatever - they knew they were taking a risk with that song.
Also LOL at the UK - we're upholding our fine tradition of being rubbish in the eyes of the public once again 🙂
