Earlier this year we took a trip to camp in Potter County, PA and filmed this little video. For some reason I never put it together, so here it is!

That first stream has an amazing sulfur hatch in May- some nights the entire surface is just boiling. Really amazing time to be fishing a little native stream.

I love your videos. You guys are artist both in video production and watching you fly fish. I may have fished that stream by that nice looking bridge. It was years ago, down a logging road, we didn’t get to fish too long because we got scared off by a sow and her cubs. Potter county is awesome.

Awesome wood turtle! I found one not far from there in the genesee river In NY. I was surprised how docile it was, it sat on a log and never spooked as i just waded over and grabbed it. I like their deep red coloring

I caught my first trout up near Kinzua damn when I was a kid just messing around at the stream where we camped while on a walleye lake fishing trip with my dad 30 years ago. I'm in Texas now and spend most of my time fly fishing New Mexico and Colorado, so it's always good to see you guys hitting some streams on my home turf.

Just brought me back to my childhood. I grew up in potter and spent many days as a boy chasing native brookies. Most beautiful fish I ever saw. I can still remember the smells of the woods and sound of the stream. Never once did I see a box turtle. Thanks for the smiles.
Jack Leonard Caleb and I actually met at Ole Bull state park and have been fly fishing buddies ever since. Started before we were ten. Many great memories made up there and many more to come!! Thanks for watching!

I've watched a number of your videos- they are excellent. The quality is good, but the part I like best is that you guys really enjoy what you are doing and love to share it, and also that you make it about the fishing, not yourselves. You also obviously enjoy the entire fishing experience- thanks for sharing all the other things you see along the stream. I fish several small northern Maryland native brookie streams and have even more that I get up to fish in Pa. and I always enjoy finding a new one. Some are better than others, but all are similar to what you show here. When I was a teen, a buddy of mine and I would ride our bikes up into the mountains, stash them, and fish small streams like this. Sadly, most of those streams got discovered and aren't what they once were. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Nice video guys I fish Kettle Creek every year end of May for a week for the last 25 years. Best creek in my opinion for dry fly fishing and wild brooks

Grew up in Punxsutawney Pa. fished Potter Co. a lot, one day fishing a small beaver dam hooked what I thought was the biggest Brook Trout ever tuned out to to be a 26" Chain Pickerel.A friend of my caught a 23.5" native brookie on Canoe Creek in Canoe Township PA in 1972

That turtle is a Wood Turtle, a species at risk in (I think) all of its range (NE US and Canada). A great find!

Definitely a wood turtle.In all my years in the pa woods I only found one wood turtle and one dried out old shell. Great sighting.way cooler than the deer shed!
I dont know what exact turtle he found But I find them often fishing tiny cricks in N.C. PA They’re beautiful, as is the shed!

Nice job fellas and lady too(ever notice how the gals always catch the biggest fish??). I've been fishing(and Grouse hunting) Potter since I was 12 and man I just realized it's been 40 years now. Dang where has it gone? Anyway, haven't had the time to get up there as often as I have wanted but, things at work have changes a bit so I'll be up there late spring and wetting some flies! Not even New Years and I'm already getting excited.....

Can you tell me what brand of strike indicators you guys are using and what your leader set up is? This is my favorite type of fishing. We have a camp in Tioga and there are so many of these streams there full of brookies. Beautiful country.
Timothy Ruth I can't remember what brand it is but it is indicator line, stuff is the real deal! And we generally run 4 pound mono down to the indicator line, then 5x off indicator to our first fly, then another 15 inches down tie another nymph on.

3 years later this comes across my screen and it is nice to see the beauty of Potter County. I have fished Kettle Creek several times but never the tributaries. If I ever get the chance to return I'll do some exploring. What weight rod as well as length did you use this day?
