- Heartbreaking video shows a little boy named Corey running as fast as he could on a treadmill. His father, Christopher Gregor, allegedly thought he was fat and prosecutors say forced him to lose weight by running on the treadmill. The video played for the jury shows him unable to keep up with the treadmill's pace and falling down. The 6-year-old boy died 12 days later. The autopsy says there was evidence of "chronic abuse." However, Gregor's defense team denies that and claims Corey died of natural causes from complications of pneumonia.

The mother noticed bruises and tried to call cps, go to the court etc a few times but they refused her each time. I dont remember if she got help but if she was sober then she could've been given a chance. If not he could've went to someone else either way they ignored the fact that the father was suspected of abuse before.
The look on his face is not sadness for a dead son but sadness for how he will be treated in days to come.
That monster will get what he deserves ...However, the child cannot be brought back and I cannot even begin to imagine how the mother is going to go on...May God have mercy on her!

He didn't think his son was fat, he was abusing him because he got off on it and it made him feel powerful to hurt someone he considered weaker than him.

The mother found bruises and called cps many times over a year, even took the father to court for full custody and the judge refused her. I’ve seen the full video, it is absolutely disgusting and really hard to watch.

The mother should get a serious sentence herself. She was well aware of the abuse going on but opted not to ruin her own commodity by immediately seizing the poor kid. And it's almost always the case - the other parent knows what's going on but refuses to confront the abusive parent because it's not good to question parent's authority in front of children.

I was put into foster care at age 5, after being abused by my biological father, since I was born, and the cops would show up after my biological mom and I were beaten and bruised and say they couldn't do anything because there were no eye witnesses...except for the neighbors who heard and knew what he was doing and reported it. 🙄🙄🙄
Sadly it took my baby sister dying, and my birth mom almost dying before anything was done. He didn't stay in jail though, went on to have my three younger half siblings while I was in foster care, and abused them as well until my three younger siblings were also put into foster care.

It seems that way, but running on a treadmill likely isn’t enough to kill a kid. My dad forced me to bike ride long distance and I may have hated it but nothing bad happened. If the kid died from pneumonia the father is probably gona get off.

Authorities (i.e. CPS and judges) who refused to protect the child, and doctors who ignored the warning signs, should share the father's prison cell. There was a pattern of abuse and only the mother cared. And she was legally helpless.

Read the article on NY Post. The father had multiple arrests for assault, robbery, etc. He should not have had custody of that child in the first place!

My old man was similar (not in terms of abuse, in terms of mentality), he would project everything onto those around him. I remember one time when I was 9 and he was lecturing me about being lazy at work and it clicked for me “Wait… I don’t have a job and I’m a straight A student… why is he talking to me about being lazy at work? OH! He’s talking to himself and I’m the mirror.”

Growing up one of my closest friends was in track. His mom was part of the city council so she was obsessed with her reputation. She would always show her kids off like they were her trophies, and he got the worst of the treatment behind the scenes. His mom wouldn’t let him eat half the time, and when she did he could only eat specific healthy foods that she allowed. She made him run every single day even when he hated it. She wanted him to be an Olympic runner when he became an adult, but he didn’t want to. He loved running, but not the way she made him do it. She took it to an extreme. He was so skinny and she was constantly threatening him. We became friends because my mom was also part of the city council and we both knew what it was like to be shoved into the spotlight while feeling trapped at home. My mom was abusive too, but not in the same way. So we would share our experiences and have each other. He moved out as soon as he was legally allowed to. Lived with a girlfriend for awhile till they broke up, then struggled on his own for a bit till he met his current wife. He no longer does races, but instead works on a farm with her and they’re both happy and thriving. His mom remarried and is still part of city council, and idk if they ever made up or anything. But it was awful seeing how he was treated. He still struggles with some things now as an adult like eating properly, but he’s doing much better than before. My heart hurts for this little boy. 💔

As a long distance track runner, this is really hard to watch even just the boy running.
It takes an enormous amount of mental strength to run a mile which I would say you’d go around 70% of your max speed

you go to prison for life, not jail. jail is for sentences under a year. prison is for sentences a year or more.

He wasn’t abused, he was tortured to death. The media and society always sugar coat what went down. I hate how situations like this get phrased with certain words to not sound as brutal as they really were.

The boy was tortured there were lacerations on his heart and signs of blunt force trauma in the autopsy. Calling it just abuse really is sugar coating the slow death this child was put through.

I take my son to play basketball every weekend the moment he says he is tired WE STOP...love and protect your children they're whats most important
Dig that. My kiddo is overweight due to medication. We still take him out to play regularly, make sure to keep his food intake monitored.

Exactly my son plays high school and select baseball and I know it’s a lot for a 15 year old boy and I always watching him at practice and home too see he not over working out but that a parents love for there child not abuse them.

He is being trainer. When he's trainer, he needs to show his disciplined trainer, or children won't take him seriously. I think he's doing good job, too bad this kid is too weak to cope up, any normal kids can run faster than that.
As a marathon runner who trained on tread mills daily in the winter months... i can say that the treadmill was way too fast for that kid not to mention keeping up with it for a long period!!!! The kid could have had a heart attack right there!!! RIP kid !!!

Yeah used as an excuse. And the thing is, even if the kid was fat, that's on the parents (and genetics and growing up). A kid doesn't exactly cook up his own dinner or is born having particular eating habits. So taking it out on the child is awful. It's not right.

@@Maspets This was not normal exercise either. When someone falls off a treadmill like that, it means it's going too fast and you slow it down. It's also not a two person exercise, where one person holds the other above the belt physically forcing him above and on it. That's not how it works. This isn't exercise. The kid is likely super anxious and super afraid as the dad uses fear and intimidation and the threats of harm to control, and even physically grabbing the child and making him do all this. So, if you think only good intentions from the dad, well then he's doing it wrong and his child was harmed. Even with good intentions, the dad is at fault.

I can imagine an alternative situation where this would be glorified if the kid didn't die and got "fit" from it. I can imagine everyone talking about "fat Americans" and saying this is better.

Why does CPS rarely ever do its job correctly? For some reason they always put the kid with the worst parent/guardian possible
Because, just like the abusive father, the people that get into such positions of power, get off on that form of power abuse themselves.
Theyre corrupt, i also got abused and by the time my parents were sent to court and charged with neglect i already turned 18, they also told me while in cps custody when i was a minor that they wont go to court to get my custody because it was too much of a hassle so thats why cps always tries to put you with another family member or relative , its less work for them , so they called my “family” (just my uncle) nobody wanted me so they sent me back with the same parents they later charged with neglect
Because it’s the government. And we all know now our government is corrupt and against its citizens (look at the illegals they’re letting in)

@@Ulazcruz literally, i just wrote an entire message on my personal experiences with cps explaining how theyre corrupt and youtube took it off and left the second one, that says alot, shows our current state, cps is corrupt
