Caldor Wildfire Aftermath - Camera test

- Early Dec, 2021, testing Pixel 6 + JBL Quantum 800 Bluetooth headset.
Successful: Range 20-ish feet. Some "underwater" voice distortion.
Pixel 6 - Nov 5 update on phone, camera not updated in Play store.
Pixel 6 video performed well in low-light, nighttime high-beam headlights. (Note, shot through windshield, in phone suction cup mount. 100% stationary. Walking in low-light conditions with image stabilization on gives terrible results. (Christmas lights bouncing while background is stationary.)
So far, JBL Bluetooth headset has performed much better than Rode Wireless II Go, and Deity miniature shotgun mic "D4."
-D4 shotgun mic produced hum when connected to Pixel 6 via usb-c to trrs adapter.
-Rode Wireless II Go functioned well when it worked.. but was hit and miss with connectivity. Pixel 6 camera app does not inform the user if no sound is coming from the mic with no way to monitor live. Sound recorded to the transmitter is automatically overwritten (when capacity is full,) with no way to stop it, endangering any production.
Verdict: Filming with the pixel 6 is a nightmare for filmmakers.
Pixel 6 randomly stops recording without warning. at any time during my recording I could have been cut off and talking to myself with no way of knowing.

I wish you could see the area your in and Grizzley Flats in the daylight and no snow. It really is something to see how powerful the fires were and the damage they have done. To see it with your own eyes puts a real perspective on it all. I wish you all an awesome Happy New Year ❤️🧡💙💚♥️

Note: This video was filmed on December 11th. That night I left Tahoe at 1 am, and made it across Kit Carson pass at 8,000 ft in whiteout conditions. I didn't have good enough Wi-Fi to upload videos until now.

Hey Kathryn You know 2 people (father and son) were arrested and charged with arson for the Caldor fire. As I am watching your test I am currently following the massive wildfire in Colorado so far the towns of Louisville and Superior in Bolder county wind gusts peeking over 100 mph all fires are moving south east. And as usual I'm also tracking tornado's in Georgia.
