The Trafalgar T-3 is the best synth I’ve ever used. The only one I’ve used with backbone and soft tips. I won’t be shelling out nearly twice as much for the Evo.

Chris I hope you are enjoying your vacation, and wanted to thank you for the video. When you flipped them over, I thought I could see the handle through the Knot on the Simpson which would make the Omega a bit more dense, that being said they are both excellent brushes, and the Omega does bring multiple handle options. Now, are they worth almost 40 bucks more, well I think that is for each buyer to decide. I myself tend to stay below the 30 dollar mark for non custom synthetic brushes. Great video!!

I think that Simpson's brush is a real bargain, and has great build quality. A real weighty hand-turned handle and a dense knot that doesn't shed a single hair.
Has maybe too much backbone for me, I have a beard so i only shave my neck and applying the required pressure to splay it is a little uncomfortable on the neck.

    • @IAMCDB

I am pondering on this Evo. Just curious does this have the issue of water draining out at the base of the knot?
