Cornelius was the first Gentile to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and be baptised in water. His Obedience led to the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world. It started the new era of the christian faith - the gospel for all.
In this captivating biblical account, we explore the incredible story of Cornelius, a devout Gentile who played a pivotal role in the early spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Join us as we delve into the details of Cornelius' obedience, which opened the door for the good news to reach the entire world, marking the beginning of a new era for the Christian faith.
Cornelius, a Roman centurion stationed in Caesarea, stood out as a man of exceptional character and faith. Despite being a Gentile, he earnestly sought God's guidance and demonstrated unwavering devotion to living a righteous life. God, who sees the hearts of all people, took notice of Cornelius' sincerity and desired to use him as an instrument for His divine plan.
One day, while Cornelius was praying, an angel of God appeared to him and revealed that his prayers and acts of charity had come up as a memorial before God. The angel instructed him to send for the apostle Peter, who was in Joppa at the time, and assured Cornelius that Peter would bring him a message that would forever change his life.
Meanwhile, God was also working in the heart of Peter, preparing him to receive Cornelius' messengers. Through a vision, Peter learned that he should not consider any person unclean or unworthy of receiving the gospel message. This revelation helped Peter understand that the message of salvation was intended for all people, regardless of their ethnicity or background.
When Cornelius' messengers arrived in Joppa and relayed their purpose, Peter willingly accompanied them back to Caesarea, guided by the Holy Spirit. Upon meeting Cornelius and his assembled relatives and close friends, Peter delivered a powerful sermon, emphasizing that God does not show favoritism, but welcomes all who fear Him and do what is right.
As Peter shared the gospel, the Holy Spirit descended upon Cornelius and his household, manifesting through speaking in tongues and praising God. Witnessing this miraculous outpouring, Peter realized that God had unequivocally accepted the Gentiles into His kingdom, and he promptly baptized Cornelius and his household in water, marking their initiation into the body of believers.
This momentous event marked a turning point in the history of Christianity. Cornelius' obedience, coupled with Peter's willingness to step beyond cultural boundaries, signaled the beginning of a new era-the gospel for all. The message of salvation, which had previously been predominantly shared among Jews, was now extended to people from every nation, tribe, and tongue.

Without understanding of Acts 3:19-21 it’s impossible to understand Acts 10 or Acts 11. Acts 3:19-21 KJB are the same jews only from acts 2. Acts 3:19-21 is after Jesus death and says Israels sins will be blotted out after the tribulation. The body of Christ has major Issues if our sins aren’t blotted out till after tribulation. Our apostle Paul says in Col 2:9-14 we are complete in him, all trespasses are forgiven and the law has been blotted out. There isn’t much that can be rightly divided biblically when someone says Israels sins are already forgiven. Cornelius became part of Israels kingdom program which says his sins aren’t blotted out till after the tribulation. Confirmation is in Heb 8:7-13. Israels sins will be forgiven after those days, their new covenant is after those days which is tribulation. Notice this is after the cross and this scripture only identifies Israel receiving the new covenant. This is easy for a believer scripturally and almost impossible for a religious person of any religion.
