@@misamisa2677 Divine help is asked for and needed, and hardly ever given and writing needs all over the Internet is never the way. Prayers do not get answered and it is always people that are relied on to help. But it is not right to guilt others into forking up financial help, which is ALWAYS the biggest help needed and asked for, isn't it? People are struggling, unless they are wealthy and although in the best position to financially support others, (not a good commitment or responsibility for anyone, unless for a family member) they rightfully do not want to become someone others totally depend upon.
A person in a bad position/situation needs to work out something that is best for all, not to constantly cry out for help or keep praying for divine help when it is obvious that it is not coming.
So far, it seems that ONLY other humans are capable of helping, but they should not suddenly be relied on to keep someone else going who should be leading their own life, and finding their own solution, as most of us have had to do and are still doing.

That single reference ruined it for my purposes too. I was already working on the introduction I was going to use to hopefully open up a discussion with cessassionist friends. They would reject the whole thing because they would consider that an anathema level unbiblical reference.
Maybe that's part of the point though. We who are filled with the Holy Spirit are not so easily offended. Considering that Man (humanity) was created in God's image, the female attributes are clearly included. Male and female He created them. That is truth. But do we really need to push that point without explanation as to make our side so unacceptable to the other? That is a completely different discussion that needs its own presentation.
I am so sorry that I can't use this otherwise inspiring presentation. It would completely ruin any credibility we might have with them in a document that makes some of the best and most compelling explanations of the continuing use of the Gifts of The Holy Spirit I have seen.

A lot of this is so very true and amazing and I'm so happy to hear it, and be reminded of it!! Some of this is a tad misleading. We were not created to live for God, we were created to live WITH God. This is represented in the story of Mary and Martha. Also in the beginning of time and Genesis we see the Holy Trinity existed and had a relationship with himself and they said they wanted to create man in their image and invite man into that perfect relationship with them. After we were created for relationship with God, we then we were placed in the garden and given work. I hope whoever is reading this remembers you were created first and most importantly than anything else to be WITH God, everything else is an outpouring of your love for Him.
