Pikmin 3: spawns every boss at once (game immediately crashes)
Pikmin 4: spawns 200 Waterwraith (game runs perfectly fine)

New crash idea: spawn a bunch of eggs around Primordial Thicket, each with mitites inside, and put them pretty close together. Then, spawn bomb rocks in between each one. The bombs automatically kill the mitites when they pop out of the eggs. My hypothesis is that when the map is covered in nectar and bodies, that’ll be enough to finally crash the game.
I bet there is a limit on how many nectars can be on the screen at once. If it is similar to past games, trying to load more nectar than the limit would just mean new nectar wouldn’t spawn.

Gonna say this as a Pokemon fan, but this is just solid proof that the Switch's hardware is not the reason for Scarlet and Violet's absolute abysmal glitches, framerate, and crashes as Pikmin 4 has much higher graphics quality and yet performs so extremely well beyond the limits you'd ever experience normally, there is no excuse.

Yea, the crashes are not the switch's fault
but certain limitations are at the hands of the switch.
Pikmin 4 makes the MOST out of those boundaries, meaning the game looks good on the switch and amazing on an emulator where the ceiling for limits is higher.
I mean, I think everyone already knew it was Game Freak's fault for trying to rush out the games.
@@Infindox I think they were referring to people talking about how the switch is less powerful than some mobile phones (which is true) and that the latest switch is only going to be an early PS4 level according to rumors (not great not bad still behind the times by a large margin). Some people less in the know used that as claim as to why P:SWnSH and P:SnV were so horrendous, which is partially true, but gamefreak rushing and not working within the limitations is a very big contributor, if not the biggest one.
@@Infindoxhonestly I see people blame the switch for pokemon's performance all the time. It was never an excuse considering zelda and xenoblade already existed on the switch, which look and typically run way better than pokemon (apart from let's go, that game actually looked and ran fine from what I remember)
The fact that you can casually put a boss in a pot and it will spawn as if nothing is wrong opens up so many trolling potential

the reason it's so optimized may possibly be because of it being built in Unreal Engine. Unreal is known for being a very optimized engine. I wouldnt be surprised if the delayed explosions thing is a result of Unreal having some sort of particle array or something.

Another thing you could try is using a more taxing enemy for the enemy overload. Bulborbs are easy to compute, since they have no particle effects. Something like the final boss is covered in hair, and Pikmin 4 would have to render the hair moving in real time, so having to deal with 2,000 of them would probably be much harder than bulborbs (I assume)

Having fun with Pikmin 4 myself so seeing this actually makes me wish such goofy assets were really in game, Wish Nintendo pulled off a Mario Bros. World 9 and made the most BS but creative obscure caves ever

Aww, dang. I saw the original video and I thought this was a sequel where you actually managed to break the game. Unfortunate that it got taken down.
I don't know if you are still getting mod ideas for the subscription milestone, but one idea I had if possible is to mod new fruit into pikmin 3. More due to the lack of greatly exotic fruit. Such as bilimbi, mocambo, yara yara, nara melon, gemsbok melon, lilly pilly, calabash, and many other exotic fruit, unless of course there is not a way to mod the fruits, in which case apologies for the inconvenience.

I think if you used a far more complex enemy to spam, you could overflow the switche's memory, most likely a boss enemy that has far more polygons than just a bulborb. Combining this with more particle effects could further this.

Maybe if you put a lot of very small enemies? If you are near them the amount of animation will be higher

Crash Idea:The Pit of Creeps
Make a moving platform,then jump into a ring of around 1000 creeping Crysanthinums.The sheer amount of flower frogs emerging at once may cause a crash like you asked!
for a general [glitch] idea, it would be cool if there was an [error] that let you hold down the throw button instead of pressing it 100 times for all the [koppites] who cant do that very fast

maybe if you use a large number of bombs with their blast radiuses set large enough to cover the map combined with as many enemies as possible that could survive all but one bomb blast. Basically forcing the game to stack as many instances of damage on as many enemies simultaniously as possible.
The idea is to basically overflow the stack, or however it handles things. Using enemies with high HP, particle effects, and complex AIs would help too
making it all interact with water physics as much as possible too could contribute
There is nothing harder than breaking pikmin 4
surely shrinking enemies and then making loads of copies would cause it to crash because there would be more active enemies in the area in which animations play.
Honestly Pokemon could learn a thing or two from Pikmin 4 cuz this type of optimization rly is just incredible
Hey Gunnadahun I actually managed to crash my pikmin 4 on my nintendo switch so while I was doing a night expedision on Hero's Hideaway when I was about to turn on a tricknoll while I was on oatchi and the smoky phrogg was near and I turned the tricknoll on it crashed lol

Wait, couldn't you crash the game by fusing method 1 and 2 in the opposite way (spawn a bunch of smoky frogs), since the Bulborbs save on processing power by not using animation on distance and you saying that the frog doesn't have that, it could lead to a crash by loading like 1000+ Animations at once.

I crashed Pikmin 4 several times.. by having a groovy long legs spawn in a map. Whenever the game loads in it immediately crashes.
For the bomb just make it so 1 bomb has the power of 300 bomb

3:04 DAMN THAT'S A LOT OF FUCKING BULBORLBS
For some reason my copy of pikmin 4 crashed in crackling cauldron. I was trying to speedrun the game. Right before the game crashed, I whistled yellow pikmin off the dusty bed and tried to put red pikmin on it. The treasure was in a large group of objects on the ledge below the paper bag, so they had a hard time picking the treasure up.
Not sure what caused it to crash considering it was working perfectly fine before that point.
Are you sure your switch isn’t some what broken?
@@Manny4Life948 The only other things that happened to me was a snitchbug falling through the floor and a castaway getting knocked off a ledge when I charged into an enemy.
