The way Via Mardot plays Bass really shows off her beautiful physique but I have to say Sahah Butler means a lot to me as an original member. I hope Surfrajettes never lose her. She knows all the music deeply.
Sarah Butler is also a good slapbass player and sings Patzy Cline tunes as a godess,

Well dammit, I didn't know they came to Columbus! I'm only 45 minutes away.
They are amazing, and I was able to see them a few weeks ago. I wish I knew who Via was when I saw/met them. I was wondering where Sarah was. I have looked up her music too, and she is very talented. Going to see them again in January in California with Reverend Horton Heat
I also want to see them again in January, but don't want to fly all the way out west again unless they were headlining. I'll wait to see what the Spring/Summer touring brings...hoping for multiple southeastern shows sometime.

Not super sure, but I have not seen her at any of the US venues as of late. Passports are required now I believe, along with those vaccine cards. Maybe just not feeling well?

Same question, where is Sarah?
Could be any number of reasons. Based on online videos I know she at least played a show a few nights before in NY and a show a few nights after in Toronto. It was probably scheduling conflicts or who knows what. And it’s probably none of our business anyway. I’m pretty sure they can’t financially support themselves just from being The Surfrajettes and have other responsibilities and jobs (which is the case with most bands).
Yeah, Sarah wasn’t at the November 3rd concert in Boston and I was bummed!

I think she and the drummer "play off" against each other? They are really tight in their playing.
I think it's to underscore the point that she's a substitute.
She prefers an audience of one? 😉 Just kidding, I’d speculate, being a sub, she’s watching the drummer for rhythm queues.
First take? She allows you two extended freedom to do what yall do... Just sayin,
Mardot may be good, but you NEVER spend that much time with your back to the audience when playing.
