I honestly believe that obesity in the USA stems from what is in our food, but also lack of staying active... I live in Italy and the food is amazing, but the majority of Italians are not obese and I think it's because the food here is more organic and also Italians are always walking... riding their bikes... staying active...
I’m so happy to hear someone said this. My cousin was in the Navy said the same thing. My daughter grows her on food and her family is very healthy. ❤
I totally agree. I'm a RN.
I struggle to keep waiting on.
you’re exactly right
Too much sugar and too much processed food. We(in Europe) cook more at home with very simple and basic ingredients
I wish they had a real doctor on this segment to talk about the drugs for weight loss and the serious side effects.
doesn’t matter because if you want this then you need to go to a physician anyways. they will educate you before prescribing
The show isn't about "drugs". It's about fat shaming. The point you're trying to make is valid, but not the topic today
no mention of that... and diet has to play a role. If you are controlling sugar as its metabolized, are you controlling it as you eat...
I wish that there weren't haters in the world just mad because they can't afford it, or their doctors won't prescribe it. I have lost 60 pounds. I am in the gym every day. I eat 1000 calorie diet. I have never felt this good. No side effects. I felt like **** before I started taking this medicine due to my obesity problem. Now I feel like a different person, 60 pounds down, and I'm going to lose 150 pounds. I know I can do it now. Obesity is a disease. Once America gets that through their head, they will understand why this problem is so serious.
There us strong evidence it decreases your chance of heart attack and stroke
omg the fact sunny even uses help to lose/maintain her weight just shows that probably the majority of celebrities are using it.
How did you reach that conclusion?
Exactly! Which I find very scary!
This. I know Whoopi was like I was 300lbs and you were worried about a 40lb weight gain? I never saw Sunny as even remotely above average. She's always been on the leaner side to me. So maybe I missed that time.
Why do you care how someone loses and maintains their weight? Do you not have your own problems to worry about?
@@user-kb9il9vo7e We all have our own problems to worry about. That doesn't mean we can't comment on videos that the View puts out and give our opinions on what the ladies are talking about. That's the whole purpose of the comments section.
The problem is the food industry and pharma industry.
The problem is the government subsidizing sugar and wheat and corn and all the foods that make cheap foods than makes one gain weight.
💯
It’s also the problem that people don’t have self control.
Lets be real right now
100% and it’s a vicious cycle! Go to any pharmacy and see how much junk food they’re selling along with the medication right next to it.
Exactly! People don't have control their lives! Everytime you think everything is fine you loose everything and then you go back down to where you were😢!
Joy made me laugh for the “how is it a disease” comment lolol
Right!? She was shady for that one 😎
Joy had a good lil read going on there
Sunny had to dial it back and throw in a health issue to make it look legit 😄
She took me out with that question lol😅
She was 100 % right.
Sunny said she ate too much and cooked every day.
That's not a "medical " issue she was dealing with.
If Sunny's weight gain was from simply overeating and not because of the "disease" of obesity, why was she taking a weight loss drug?
It's easy. These ladies don't have many real admirable qualities. They are just paid liars
Because majority claim to also be an appetite suppression.. People think if you can control the hunger you can do it.. It's more to it than just not feeling hungry.. It's about changing the psyche as well...
Because many claim to suppress appetite and many think that as long as they don't feel the need to eat it's all good.. That's not true... That is her point
Agreed. She said people shamed her for taking a drug from people who need it to control their diabetes, but that's true. There is a difference between being chronically obese not being able to lose weight and someone who wants a quick fix to lose the weight they've gained because of specical circumstances.
She’s such an embarrassment
I so appreciate that Sunny is upfront and honest about the surgeries and drugs that she is taking.the celebrities gaslighting everyone about this is so unhealthy for women and girls.
Nothing has been healthier for my self esteem than the CZcams channels showing what celebrities likely have had done.
I’m surprised both Whoopi and Sunny named the drug they were using. I think Oprah didn’t want to name any particular one giving them a free endorsement so to speak. Eventually she may actually reveal which one she’s on.
She's too thin now, imho and looked so much better before she lost weight.
@RockyMountainGardener Sunny only after Oprah went public, otherwise she's been rather silent after her obvious transformation...same for Whoopi I've never heard her address her weight gain/loss publicly until today...
I knew everyone minus Alyssa and Sara were on these drugs. All of Hollywood has been on it for years. We’re just now hearing about it. My uncle is a famous actor. These people have been taking this crap for over 10 years. Even 50 cent took Ozempic. It’s the haves versus the have nots at this point. The rich dictate what’s acceptable and what we should look like.
She looks healthy for a slave owner.
As a HCP, I can vouch that there is a shortage of Ozempic/Mounjaro for diabetics because people are using it for cosmetic weight loss. 🤦🏽♀️
This information needs to get out.
If there’s a shortage of Ozempic/Mounjato, then why do they still have so many commercials playing constantly, on every single network & cable TV station? If there’s more demand and supply, you don’t need to even have commercials.
@@jeangouveia4521it’s been out? For almost a year
Because typically drug companies advertise to create demand but they did not anticipate. Also, weight loss drug is all cash business, instead of smaller insurance payment for diabetes. It’s all about the munnay hunnay !
@@jasprerph thanks for your reply, but that didn’t really answer my question. If they’re already selling like hotcakes, you don’t need to spend a dime more on advertising.
You need to spend on advertising when your product is not selling or you want/need more interest in your product. but the demand is already far exceeding the supply. (I’ve been hearing about the shortage with these two products for the past almost two years) (since before Jimmy Kimmel hosted the 2023 Oscars) everybody and their grandma has already heard the “Oh Oh Oh Ozempic” jingle 1000 times. (& you don’t need to tell me what song that came from. I was alive and well with that song they used and changed the words)
Don’t agree with her politics but have to say Alyssa is sharp as a whip and drives the key points of discussion home.
The problem is that everyone who's taking Ozempic isn't obese. It's a fad for some to be thinner.
Exactly. Sunny could have lost weight through diet and exercise.
@@Fluuuv Why do you care how someone loses weight? The biggest problem is America is minding your fucking business.
@@user-kb9il9vo7ethe ladies are talking about it...
Exactly. My mom cannot, right now, cannot get ozempic for her diabetes management. She's not using it for weight lose, literally for her diabetes management. Yet, her friend, was able to get it at a medical spa. Ridiculous. It's a problem all all levels, doctors, big pharma, people looking for a quick fix.
@user-kb9il9vo7e because it's taking away from people who actually need it. I can attest how it can be hard to lose weight. Ive been skinny fat and had a hard time losing the weight. I could have easily used a medication to lose the weight faster. Obesity and needing to lose 25 lbs is different.
So why didn't Oprah tell everyone exactly what she's taking,???????????
Or how much it cost her out of pocket for a months supply! Here it is over a $1000. How about those poor obese people with a BMI of 30+ and who don't have insurance? THe exact drug cost never came up??????????
Oprah probably doesn't want to say because then she would be promoting it. Also, thousands of people across the nation would start buying that weight loss drug. I don't think she's staying quiet because she's ashamed of it, but she doesn't want to give any of these weight loss drugs a plug or unfair advantage over others.
Because she doesn't have to , tha'ts why
@@stellahibberd5370 Well first of all, no one is taking anything away from diabetics because there are separate meds, there are med , JUST FOR WEIGHT LOST, NOTHING ELSE, and insurance pays for WHAT'S FOR diabetes meds, but not for the meds just for weight loss... They discussed that on King Charles last night, SO NO ONE IS TAKING ANYTHING AWAY FROM PEOPLE WITH DIABETES.
I believe she came out and said she's been using Ozempic
I have type one Diabetes and I just want to inform you ladies that Diabetes doesn't just come from obesity
You're right about Type 1: Type 1 is genetic. However, the U.S. has an epidemic of Type 2 (reaching now more young children than ever), which for the most part is preventable. So, yes, the panelists need to be clear which type of diabetes they are referring to.
You’re absolutely correct diabetes doesn’t discriminate
@@shadetails2133 I know about Type 2 also
Type 1 diabetes side effect is gaining weight, type 2 drugs the side effect is losing weight
thats not true @@aus.0608
The problem is what’s in the food - we know this
Yep. My friend moved to Sweden and lost 30 pounds without changing her eating habits. Whenever I visit a European country (or even Canada), I notice how much better their produce tastes and the lack of chemicals in their food. US food standards are so bad; it's embarrassing for a country that's supposed to be a superpower.
This is the question that I have. Fix how our food is being grown and processed.
a large part of the problem is also portion sizes, a lack of physical activity, the fact that fresh produce is often more expensive than fast food, and food deserts.
I'm concerned about long-term affects but in all decifer risk vs rewards for each individual
No the problem is in the lack of discipline and voluntary indulgence
Economics also play a role as far as living a healthy lifestyle. Healthy foods should cost less money as the unhealthy foods cost less money.
⬆ this
It’s like everything else. It’s the haves vs the have nots. Joy’s comment about the rich decide what’s acceptable is spot on. All the actors and actresses, musicians and bravo leberties are all on Ozempic.
If you’re poor you are more likely to be fat, and ugly than a rich person.
Very true. Fresh clean food is so expensive. That is a shame 🤦🏽
Figure out the price per pound. It’s a job to plan, shop, cook. It’s not more expensive, it’s work.
@@jillanglemyer3168 it IS very time consuming AND VERY EXPENSIVE TO EAT CLEAN. The running shoes are expensive, the workout gear is expensive, the gym memberships are expensive, it takes so much time to go to the different stores and buy what you need and it’s so expensive to buy produce now. I’ve been doing this for years. 🏃♀
@@HH-gv8mx , you can’t just walk in regular clothes? It’s expensive if you make it expensive.
My problem is these companies are charging $1,000 plus for medications like mounjaro and ozempic for diabetic patients and these celebrities just pay for it for weight loss. Working in a primary care doctors office i see the heart break daily of diabetic patients who can’t afford their medications or have to live broke and have nothing just to afford it.
Very sad
Whoopi's facial expressions are hilarious.
True😂😂😂😂
Love them 😂
She’s so unprofessional 😂

Whoopi Goldberg weight looks good now
Same with Ana. Not sure how Joy lost the weight..
Good must mean something different from where I come from. Being medically obese is not a good place to be. Whoopi is medically obese...that's science, not me being mean.
Affordable is the key
And time to cook.
Feel like they glossed over that with only Alyssa kind of mentioning it at the end. Most people are upset at that, the lack of transparency as to how people with means are getting these drugs… so they reduce the money people pay for insulin which is a treatment to a desease, but don’t market the one drug that can seemingly eradicate the problem. That’s the hypocrisy!
I can remember when my mom , who was raising me by herself, would go to McDonald's and get the 10 burgers for $10 deal. That's enough food to last us a good bit.
Joy’s comment about ==the rich decide what’s acceptable is spot on. All the actors and actresses, musicians and bravo leberties are all on Ozempic. It’s the Haves vs. the have nots at this point.
Will see inn a few years! With all the affects of these drugs..
I agree. We have no long term studies. I’m worried these folks may develop organ damage, digestive issues and other long term side effects we are not hearing about yet. I hope big pharma continues development for safer drugs over time.
I agree. I think we will see a lot of severe side effects!
@@wellnative1there are many long term studies. These drugs are not new - they have been used by diabetics for years. I'm thankfully skinny but if I was fat, I would get a little help.
There are studies. They were approved by the fda without any kind of EUA so the normal process was used.
I think you’re correct. I asked my Dr if I was a candidate for this type of drug and she said no, it’s really not good for you, there are other ways.
Lots of people gained weight during Covid. Overeating was a coping mechanism. And, the majority of people dealt with the consequence by doing the work of making better choices. For Sunny to say she ate her way to a 40 pound gain, but turned to Ozempic to lose it, epitomizes the misuse of these drugs and minimizes the long term work and struggles people go through before turning to, or having access to, these medications as a last resort. Maddening!
Agreed 100%
Good point! 👍
I admit I find it concerning that she used the diabetes medication when these brands create a non diabetic version just for weight loss. But it seems she’s also claiming it helped her lower her cholesterol which isn’t something those drugs are supposed to do.
curious, so it simply upsets you that CERTAIN people are using them? that's a stupid reason. why do you care? I have struggled w obesity all my life and I don't care if anyone uses them. now had your argument been because of supply issues, THAT would be a reasonable reason
Yup. If she worked out and changed her eating habits back to her pre-pandemic diet, she would have lost the weight.
Whoopi 😂😂😂 4:52 "And then I saw me and I was like 'Oh, thats a lot of me' " 😂😂😂 Same, Whoopi! Same😂
They touched on it here but didn’t quite get there, but “food deserts” in American cities are a huge issue. In a lot of neighborhoods, the only stores selling food are fast food or convenience stores. There are amazing groups working at the grassroots to make urban farmed produce available to all and they should be lauded and supported as much as possible
The problem is that over the years O has lost her credibility.
You have to go off the drugs at some point. My friends have gone off, and all gained it all back again, some of them plus. Where is that conversation.
yes- it is very true.
That's the problem rhough, she went off. Obesity is a chronic disease like diabetes, etc. You stay on the drugs for life, or expect to. Just like a diabetic would stay on theor drugs for life.
@@jenniferreid7652 These drugs are not meant to be used for life unless youbare a diabetic.
@@desertgirl483 I'm sorry, but you're mistaken/misinformed. Talk to a physician who specializes in obesity. GLP-1 medicines, and similiar drugs used for weight loss, can be taken long-term. Obesity is a chronic disease, and these drugs can help with maintence, usually at lower doses, once the weight has come off. Not everyone will need to stay on them forever, but usually those with biological drivers for obesity will need to be on them forever to maintain. You should follow the work of Dr. Nadlosky, who is an obesity expert and specialist. He shares a lot of evidemce based research on his pages.
I’ve been off of it for 6 months and have not gain anything back. This medication is a tool and the rest is up to the person.
I understand what the ladies are saying however, I also have friends with diabetes who cannot get the drug, because so many people are using it to lose weight. Many people have asked me if I wanted to take the drug because I do need to lose weight, but how can I when I see friends with a life-threatening disease and can’t get the drug they need. in support of them, I choose exercise and healthy eating instead of a drug in which we really don’t know what the long-term effects are, when you’re taking it simply to lose weight
This is so spot on. When I was in high school i weighed over 200 lbs but because I was 200 lbs I was so crazy over the number! not realizing that I was an athlete i'm tall, I was muscular. etc. Most people don't gain 40 lbs in a year I have gained 20 lbs in 10 years! we need to stop this it's mad
Whoopi: "I was 300 pounds. I was obese"
Joy: "I never noticed that!"
LOL, Joy is so shady.
Wow love these women sharing the truth. Love their honesty. Not every overweight person has obesity to be clear.
Poor people don't eat at McDonald's... anymore. A basic 2 cheeseburger combo is $12. TWELVE DOLLARS y'all. For 2 crappy cheeseburgers, fries and a sugar water drink. Anyone remember when it was the cheapest combo you could get for about $3?
I was fat until I stopped watching every season of football, basketball, baseball and tennis, and got me a bike. 😂
The thing that was frustrating in the begining was it was used so much for weight that people with diabetes couldn't get it
My mom still cannot get ozempic for her diabetes management smh
@@skyelynnae I am sorry, this is so frustrating
Exactly. That should have been the topic but Sunny was so bothered by being shamed for taking these pills I think we should spare her feelings and let diabetics find another drug.
Minapause for women, thyroid issues and heredity .. It's just that simple...the problem is a good diagnosis... that's what saved me...a doctor who listened to me.
I’ve been thru all of that, including thyroid removal. It’s been terrible, Covid years were tough, but my Dr just said she wouldn’t prescribe any of these new drugs for me because she said they come with terrible side effects, my insurance likely wouldn’t cover it and there were other ways to lose the weight.
I have a problem with framing these as "weight loss" medications when they're intended for diabetics to keep their insulin levels down. Celebrities are abusing the pharma system so they can stay thin while those who actually need it can't get their supplies.
Exactly
There are lots of drugs used for multiple things. For example seizure meds used for migraines or statins used for cholesterol and coronary artery disease. The FDA has approved mounjaro for weight loss so it is both a diabetic drug and weight loss drug.
The patients aren't abusing the drugs. They are being prescribed and administered them by doctors. The discussion should involve how, why and when physicians are prescribing off label to patients.
The influence of the pharmaceutical company that the doctors ALLOW in their offices (because we never, ever learn) has created a system where if a pharma company wants their drug to be approved for an additional purpose, other than what they originally paid research for and applied for, then they enlist doctors to prescribe off label. Now the pharma company is getting paid, instead of having to pay for the information they get from the populace who is providing themselves as guinea pigs. Getting approved for one purpose is cheaper and faster, so get that through first then rake in the cash while the populace proves the other purpose for you.
Obese person is also pre or diabetic. If people can use it will reduce diabetes patients significantly.
@@200555280bingo!

I have no problem with Oprah losing weight the way she did. I have a problem with her pushing weight-loss companies knowing she was using something else. She took advantage of something so serious to vulnerable people all to make a few bucks.
She had a problem with it, too. That's why she gave every last one of her shares in weight watches away.

I’m not opposed to people taking it…… but I do think the recognition that only the wealthy right now have access to it makes this all a bit tone deaf to me. Insurance companies aren’t covering it. And the cost is thousands of dollars. The I think the judgement comes from knowing you have this option while is poor folk don’t.

That Oprah special was really good because they even talked about the side effects.
Yea, it’s not gonna work for everyone.
The side effects that they know about... Who knows what's going to happen to you twenty years from now

Weight loss is not easy. We need to give people grace and remember that unsolicited health advice/weight comments aren't needed when the person already knows the state of their health. I appreciate the ladies opening up about this.
There's always a miracle drug that turns out to have terrible side effects. This story has been told for decades. They are already talking about the terrible side effects of Ozempic. I would personally wait several years for a large body of research to be established on the side effects of using these drugs for weight loss (separate from diabetes, that research is there already from what I understand.)
YES !!!! I am shocked about the advertising for this drug- so unhealthy!!!
I highly doubt there will be funding for a study of this medication on the general population for weight loss with so many people gaining the weight back once off the medication, or even more specific unknown variables such as addiction like Alyssa suggested. Those who grant funding for these studies would just be burning money to in the end not be approved. And after what Purdue Pharmaceutical did to get wide spread approval for OxyContin, that can be prescribed for various reasons which has led to the present day rampant fentanyl OD’s, the approval system for a medication such as this has been cracked down (some).
Good topic. A year ago, I had unexpectedly lost weight and already have a small body. I had to work on my gut health to gain that weight back and feel better. People were concerned about me and I understood that, but it wasn’t in my control. People now notice that I’m healthy and glowing again.
The key is eating healthy!!!!! Weight itself isn’t anyone’s concern other than your own.

🤣🤣🤣
Look it all boils down to the fact that we as Americans are working long hours pretty much 7 days a week therefor we don't have the time let alone the energy to Cook our own meals and to exercise. organic foods are expensive and everything is stretch so far apart so we can’t walk anywhere
THIS!!!! During the week I work long hours and too tired to just go and work out. Weekends are the only time I can really take to exercise.
I’m a type 2 diabetic and unfortunately I can’t get my medicine because of the high demand for just weight loss.
There is a shame aspect to anything we blame the individual for the condition. I would like such discussions to include the systemic issues particular to the U.S. leading to this epidemic. Which in turn made us have one of the highest death rates from COVID in the world. First, we know now that the food industry has purposely created food products designed to be addictive while providing limited nutritional value. We know that the food industry has fought with millions of dollars to prevent government regulation -- even improving the nutrition information panel, so consumers make more informed decisions. We can't even improve the nutritional profile of school meals without the food lobby bribing politicians to protect their profits. Second, we have a culture that leaves very little time for healthy behavior, such as exercise, quality time with loved ones, and rest. Our worker protections are pretty weak compared to other wealthy nations. Consider how many working Americans have no paid leave (sick, family, or otherwise). Consider the hours many American work to cover daily living costs -- which for a lot of Americans include unsubsidized medical/dental care. If you consider these factors, the health disparities between rich and poor are BY DESIGN. It's beyond genetics (which indeed plays a role, but not as much as we think). The current American system is designed to drive people with lower financial resources to illness (including obesity), while providing people with higher financial resources a much stronger safety net to promote health.

Ana Navarro is definitely taking something. She has lost weight very quickly.
You know I am 67 and about 40 lbs. over weight and that weight has been stable over the last 20 years. I have a fairly new doctor and on my last visit, he was looking at my numbers and he said "Oh, good. I see you lost some weight." I told him, "I'm not trying to lose any weight." He said, "You aren't?" I said "Nope." I feel good. I'm built like my grandmother at this age. Genetics does play a part, people! You can't fool Mother Nature. I would have to completely starve myself to lose 40 lbs. and be miserable every day, and I am sure all the weight would come back. I'm A-OK the way I am. Not everyone is meant to stay the same weight they were in high school. It's a myth. It's not realistic. Society would like all women to become Stepford Wives and I refuse to join society in that total BS. If you are happy in your own skin, you are way ahead of most people. Don't worry about what people say. Just don't listen. March to your own drummer and the heck with everyone else.
That's the sadness of it all. Oprah clearly is not happy in her skin and never has been. All of the fortune and fame can not buy her that. And this drug won't make her happy either because she is facing shame for this too.

I’m glad that people are finally admitting that weight loss is not easy nor is managing your weight. We’ve always been taught it’s a personal failure, you’re lazy or a horrible person it is very easy to put on weight. We are bombarded with food all the time and there are things like hormones, medications, biology, etc. Not everybody has time to go jogging for 45 minutes a day or do HITT. If you can do that, god bless you for it, that’s great! Some people have to get up early in the morning go to work and don’t come home until 9 PM or later and at that time they’re tired! So anybody who judges others for being overweight just think about that.
Unfortunately, the call to action you have requested are to the type of people who do not understand or can contribute “nuance” to this and accompanying conversations. To do so, you have to have a mindset that applies a greater thought process to most if not all topics. And majority of people do not want to look inward on their own issues.

That's not always true.
She's going to end up being an ambassador for these pharmaceutical companies and making tons of money like she did with weight watchers
I changed my eating habits 3 weeks ago after a doctors visit and I lost 10 lbs because I was eating fast food and red meat and now I’m eating just chicken, fish, and sandwiches and nothing fried. I’m still not eating vegetables and I lost weight it really is the food industry you can find the foods if you look. The problem with these drugs it’s a lazy way out for these celebrities and people that are not really obese or diabetic. We are living in a day and age that the easy way out are making a weak society that can’t handle or do anything for themselves.
I didn't know Sunny gained 40 pounds doing Covid
She’s lost a little too much weight.
It's gone now
Because you dont live with her 😂😂😂
@@200555280Because it's a mindless spam bot that would say anything
She's just putting on a show. She didn't gain weight, she lied again just to gain attention. She just wants people to focus on her. That's called a narcissist.
Weight is only one indicator of health and isn’t very informative by itself. What matters most is happiness in my opinion.
National shortage of mounjaro has led my family members who have diabetes who have been using mounjaro now can’t get it because those who don’t have chronic illness are using it. It literally is life or death for many and that should be the priority!
My Endocrinologist/Cardiologist informed me that Insulin actually makes you gain weight. That's part of why most diabetics are overweight (the medications).
No most diabetics are insulin resistant…that is why we gain weight
No most diabetics are insulin resistant…that is why we gain weight
@@marilynbostick5145 insulin is a gaining weight factor as I gained weight after being placed on Novolog & Levemir. Since I weaned myself off in the last year I lost (25-30) pounds. My puffiness & bloating has all but disappeared.
I never said it was the end all to be all just that it makes you gain weight. I'll take my medically trained, licensed & certified doctor's professional knowledge on the matter.
Not true
@@monicah9919 Yeah my Endocrinologist/Cardiologist who has practiced medicine (32) years, was in medical school for a minimum of (10) years & works for Eli Lilly (insulin makers) was lying. I'll take your words over his.
You failed to address the health effects of obesity. Obesity is primarily hormonal, it is thyroid related, autoimmune related, medication related, and lastly, it is due to over eating (due to anxiety, depression and dependence on easy access processed foods) and genetics -in that order! It’s not about looks. Excessive fat can quickly raise your blood pressure and cholesterol which can kill you. It is also associated with the development of cancer and other health conditions which lead to a cascade of other health conditions which can kill you. That is why these new drugs are important. It’s about life over death, not looking better. The real dilemma here is in finding a doctor who can treat the root cause of whatever health condition that is causing your obesity.
You make a great point in stating that finding the right doctor is incredibly important to this equation!
As someone who has a PC + various speciality doctors it has taken me over 5 years to find a GOOD & truly carting team that can address the various roots.
Do you have a recommendation to people on avenues to take on where to start?
I ask this genuinely as the way I had to do it took 5 years which is far too long & a length of time that allows several sicknesses to develop that could take the rest of a lifetime to undo. I would hope others do not have to go my same route.
How about eat healthy foods and exercise instead of hoping for a magic pill?
I have lived in New York City for 11 years, and I was so fit during my whole stay. I used to walk everywhere, hit the gym 4-5 times a week, I was watching my weight all the time. And when I moved to another country I stopped exercising, walking and boom I gained 30 lbs.
Why is no one talking about the effects on the pancreas or the fact that it absolutely WAS unavailable for diabetics? There are pros AND cons. Not discussing the cons or simply brushing over them is irresponsible.
Maybe an unbiased doc on the show would be helpful.
Can they please let Alyssa speak omg this people
I agree with you about Alyssa...What I like about Alyssa she is a good listener...
@@gb5262 yeah but the girls has to talk. They only let her for like 2 last seconds while Whoopi joy and Sunny talks like 2-3 times 🤦🏻♂️
Can 100% relate to whoopie's feeling like "just herself" and then looking in the mirror and being "Oh"
It's rare to see Oprah in damage control mode.
The mask is slipping
Not Joy coming for Sunny like that 🤣🤣🤣. She was on point with everything else
It’s people that lie about doing the work, when in reality they just take medications and get surgery. That’s the main problem.
THIS!!!
Ok but they don’t owe anyone any explanation. If you really let it affect you that someone got surgery and pretends they work out, that’s your problem not theirs.
The real problem is jealousy and judgment. That is why people lie.
Say "no" to the donuts... period
If I were a billionaire I would stop complaining about old times
I love this topic! We have a food problem and we also have a fitness issue as well
I just love joy!! How did Oprah lose weight. Its a question we wanted to know
I am in my late 50s and started to have weight issues starting mid 40s. Everything I tried worked; like low calories diet and intermittent fasting etc.... but the minute I stopped I gained all the weight back on and more. I am not in favor of Pharmaceuticals for myself (I fear about the long term effects) so I started to research and I found the secret... it's Indian Ayurvedic diet.
I am loosing weight 1/3 of a pound each week and I am now at my desired weight. The best part is that I am no longer dieting or fasting or over exercising ...just a change of lifestyle/habits. I hope this helps someone.
Thank you for sharing, I have heard about this but will look it up.
@@GG_11_11 So good to know that you have already heard about it. Just a few tips that worked for me: Replace Sugar with Jaggery, White Rice with Quinoa, White bread with Ezekiel bread, Whole wheat flower with Millet flower (this is only available at Indian stores). Only good quality Olive oil or Ghee for cooking. Lastly I start my day with fruits, nuts and 1/2 teaspoon of chia seeds soaked in water/lemon water and a small plate of Crudities prior to lunch. (fyi....I have been a life long vegetarian).
@@sume6103 Thank you! I had heard the term but didn't know it could be helpful for weight loss until I read your previous post. I'm going to do research on it 💖
I dont have all the money to get a drug to help me lose weight. I walk about 2-3 miles a day. I eat fresh clean food. I am over 60 and this seems to work for me. No dairy, no gluten, and like James Brown, I Feel Good! 🙌🏽
LIES!
The issue is that celebrities, like Oprah and others, are not honest about how they achieve their weight loss. Trying to pass off weight watchers or whatever fad diet they’re selling as the cause when they’ve been taking Ozempic and other medication is incredibly damaging.
Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin sure don't weigh that much now
Whoopi is looking a lot better now.
6:13 Joy spitting FACTS!!! 💯 Also, Alyssa made excellent points about the drugs
Esp about having to eat fast food.
7:35 rather have affordable healthier foods than more drugs.
Healthy smoothies cost $6+, but soft drinks cost more than half.❤
Fast food can still exist; keep thinking creative ways to improve.
Food Hack
Eat in order: Fibre, Protein, Fat, Starch, Sugar on every meal
Shameless drug promotion without mentioning serious side effects like pancreatitis. Keep in mind that these drugs force the pancreas to produce more insulin.
The most American thing in the world is turning to a drug to cure obesity rather than exercise and diet. It's almost comical.
I love Whoopi and her "I don't care what others think" attitude. It is healthy for the mind..even though the body could suffer more as a consequence. Living in the Now, and accepting personal responsibility and its consequences. Very healthy, indeed.
I normally don't respond on these platforms but it would've been nice for her to have spoken out when Lizzo was being criticized.
She kept Ozempic her dirty little secret until the pressure was too much. Weight Watchers 😂 ok.
I would of loved to hear Meghan McCain, Rosie O'Donnell, Tara Setmayer, and Ana Navarro take on this considering their weight no offense to them.
Ana is on the weight loss injections too. She's lost like 50-70 pounds so far.
I love Meghan McCain's attitude! She loves her body and has such a healthy relation to her weight. She does not obsess over her weight and instead focuses on politics and being of service.
Plus she was really eating, not just nibbling salads.
I am ready to call the food delivery service when I happened to see this video. Thank you! You girls save my day.
Diabetes people get shamed everyday Sunny. Obesity is not a disease. Diabetes is one
Wow I have to say I find it very scary, that all these women are taking these weightloss meds, that have serious side effects! I wish we could instead return to a more communal life with huge dinners, lots of fun stories, more relaxation and less fixation on food and weight! If we were more relaxed, we would automatically eat less. Taking all these pills can't be the solution.
