  • You won't believe WHAT HAPPENED to AFGHAN MESSI Murtaza Ahmadi
Hi everyone! Back in 2020, we released the What happened to afghan Messi Murtaza Ahmadi video and many things have changed since then!
He and his family were facing threats, unable to leave Afghanistan, and sometimes it seemed that this was the end of Murtaza Ahmadi's story... However, we have found some info on the topic and we are ready to tell you what actually happened to the guy and show you the way he lives right now!
Be sure to leave a like under this video so that as many people as possible can give it a watch and learn more about the complicated story of the "Afghan Messi"!
    Murtaza Ahmadi. Who is he?
Before we get into the details, we need to quickly explain what Murtaza is known for and why he is still considered to be a newsworthy guy.
In 2015, the whole world was shocked by a photo of a 5-year-old boy who wore plastic Messi shirt.
    Eventually, this photo became viral!
In fact, it was so viral that the story of a poor boy from Afghanistan made it to La Pulga himself!
Lionel, through his representatives, managed to send him an official Argentina national team shirt, one with his own signature!
And then a completely INCREDIBLE STORY followed!
THE BOY MET LEO MESSI and saw Barcelona's live performance!
Then Barça beat Al Ahli in a friendly match, while Murtaza realized his dream!
He got to see and have a talk with Messi and other Blaugrana stars of the time!
It would seem that everything was all getting on track, but fate had other plans...
    Big problems
After that match in Qatar, the family returned to Afghanistan and faced big problems:
"For the last two years we have not been able to send him to school. I wish none of this had ever happened," Shafiqa Ahmadi, the kid's mother, was quoted as saying by the world media.
The family was pursued by various criminals who assumed that the GOAT had given the boy's father and mother a huge amount of money. The Taliban militants, who returned to power in Afghanistan in August 2021, began tracking the boy down, and as a result, Murtaza and his family fled their hometown of Jorguri to the relatively safe Bamiyan province in central Afghanistan. A bit later they were forced to travel to the Afghan capital, Kabul, where the boy continued to hide, though criminal gangs continued to threaten the family.
"Everyone thinks that because he became famous that we now have lots of money, but we are poor people," noted Asif Ahmadi, the boy's uncle.
Even then, it was clear that the boy and his family had to urgently leave Afghanistan, otherwise there would be no happy ending...
Many people criticized Lionel Messi, who never offered any help to them, but it looks like even the GOAT couldn’t do much in a tough situation like that.
The UN did not help either...
At some point it seemed that the young man was doomed...
"I want to become a footballer like Messi and I want to be able to go to school," Murtaza stated in those difficult times...
The boy just wanted to play the number one game and attend school...
How little was needed to make him happy!
    HAPPY END!
Chiara Sulmoni, a journalist and co-founder of Start Insight, a research company, which specializes in geopolitical issues... HAS TURNED OUT TO BE THE SAVIOR OF 'THE AFGHAN MESSI'!
Thanks to the assistance of Afghan photojournalist Rahmatullah Alizadah, Sulmoni was introduced to Mahdia Ahmadi, Murtaza's sister. Then it was time to develop a plan of escape from Afghanistan... After a year of attempts, the turning point occurred in early 2023 because of a humanitarian corridor organized by Caritas Italiana for refugees arriving from Pakistan. Murtaza's family of eight reached Italy, specifically Puglia, Manfredonia, where Caritas is now accompanying them as part of an integration project.
Needless to say, the little guy felt the happiest in the world, since he and his whole family no longer receive threats and no longer live in fear!
He goes to school and plays football as part of the local club Manfredonia Calcio - a Serie D side, but for now, that's more than enough for him!
Murtaza can finally focus on what he loves and calmly develop his football talent!
The boy will turn 13 this year and he still has everything ahead of him!
Who knows, maybe Murtaza Ahmadi will soon realize his life's dream and become a professional footballer, maybe as successful as Lionel Messi!
Folks, let's all wish the "Afghan Messi" good luck! The more likes you put on this video, the more chances Murtaza has to make it to the top of the football world!
At least that's what we wish him to achieve!
Hopefully, all the horrors will finally be left in the past and Murtaza Ahmadi will make himself a big name in football!
Perhaps he will wear the "Blaugrana" jersey of his favorite club, FC Barcelona, one day!
