I always associate Hugh Cornwell (and Jet Black, and Dave Greenfield, and JJ Burnel) with that modern masterpiece 'Rattus Norvegicus' (then 'No More Heroes' and 'Black and White').
Guilty is just one of his many great solo albums, thank goodness he left The Stranglers, I think 10 was a natural end for that version of the band, and both The Stranglers and Hugh have released excellent music since then.
So television presenters are only capable of managing a single sentence at a time, and need a backup to do the intervening ones? I hope these people are not paid more than £5k per year. They clearly are not earning it.
The standard of journalism reached its nadir a long time ago. I'm convinced that being illiterate and demonstrating no ability to research properly have become prerequisites to work in mainstream media.
