I know I'm old but this is quite rare these days. Talented musicians who play and sing musical instruments. If it wasn't for Graham Norton, they'd get no radio airplay in the UK ❤
With English as their second language, they speak & sing it so well.
First Aid Kit are brilliant! Been on this band ever since XPN in Philly first played their music ages ago. Got to see them live in Philly for the first time this past Summer at the Filmore (honestly, Philly has so many great venues both indoors and outdoors to see live concerts, so feel very fortunate in that regard) and they rocked it out of the MFing park. Graham has the best talk show I've ever seen the way he gets guests to really open up and be themselves and in this instance he also got very good musicians to perform and share the couch afterwards. What an amazing band they are and so glad to see them get their due on such a popular talk show. More people need to know about this band and what they offer to the World. They were influenced by Emmylou Harris, Gram Parson, and Fleetwood Mac.
Their cover of black Sabbaths war pigs is stunning 🤘
Im 56 , Saw LED ZEPPELIN , THE GRATEFUL DEAD (with Jerry), Saw BLACK SABBATH before an OZZY solo career... And I absolutly love the music of FIRST AID KIT....!!!
It’s clear that you’ve great taste and was lucky to see such bands in their prime!
I found FAK by accident, before they got big , at a gig in Belfast Northern Ireland. I was close enough to touch them. I fell in love with their music ever since.
Then check out FAK's cover of War Pigs ...
First aid kit are absolutely great BUT, the keyboard guy. Hands down the coolest look Ive seen in years. Damn...
joastra123 He looks like Roy Wood from ‘Wizard’, and it don’t get any cooler than that.
I can hear Jim Carrey in my head saying "WOULD IT KILL YA TO PLAY SOME FOGHAT?!"
It's actually Joaquin Phoenix
I always feel like I've stepped into a "Wayback Machine" when I hear these women sing. They sound like the women of the 70s folk scene, which I know inspired these lovely ladies. They sing like angels. #Peace!
They remind me of The Pierces.
I first remember seeing them do a cover of mountain song peasant by Fleet foxes. Years ago. Knew I recognised them. Amazing
The Carpenters .
It feels like listening to Ronstadt, they're pretty amazing.
They sing like angels WISH they could sing. They keep upping their game year by year. Everyone seems to be taking notice. I'm so glad they popped up on my radar!
These guys need to be more appreciated, theyre brilliant
They're doing fine.
These girls and their band are a new discovery for me, but man what a find!!! Pure talent and those voices...angelic!
Happy you found them :) Spread the word, they deserve so much more recognition!
My amazing cousins, so, proud of them! Lots of love 💖
Eloise Joo - Are they actually your Cousins?
M. 2018 Yes I am😀 I have the coolest cousins😎! Unfortunately I don’t get to see them that often when I live 🌏 downunder 🙃 ❤️
Eloise Joo - Oh... Ok. Australia or New Zealand?
I live in Oz! 🙃But I was born in NZ. I also went to the same primary school as Lorde and her siblings when I used to live in Devonport where Lorde (Ella) is from, before she was Lorde 😜 you can follow me here & on instagram and read about my bio @ www.triplejunearthed.com/artist/Eloise-joo
Eloise Joo - Ok, brilliant! I've got family in Brisbane and New South Wales. Also just got back to Lancashire (NW England), spent a couple of months in Auckland NZ. Its a crazy but beautiful world. Whereabouts in Oz are you may i ask? Keep in touch, speak soon. 🙌 😗
They are so FANTASTIC. Hugely talented, beautiful voices, great musicianship, and haunting lyricists. Really awesome performers. Have liked them for awhile now. They do a lot of covers as tribute to the original artists. Would love to hear them cover a Fleetwood Mac song. They could do great justice to songs like The Chain, Gold Dust Woman or Songbird.
They did Songbird at a recent live performance and it's *so good*
@@KimperialMarch Yep. They did Songbird at The Fillmore in Philly in July. Took my BFF for her bday and she didn't know FAK, but she's a big Fleetwood Mac fan and she was high-fiving me after they played that song.
They're beautiful in every way that counts. Talent, soul, and the sharing of their souls through their music. They're keeping alive something that is otherwise near lost in music and this old guy absolutely appreciate these young ladies.
Wow omg, why have I not heard of this group, they're fantastic
LOVE THE 60'S OUTFITS.
those boots.
These girls are amazing. Fantastic backup musicians.
I love Klara's smile it's so gorgeous
Loving first aid kit, sounds so original its beautiful ...a real hint of simon and garfunkel/abba / 70s vibes along with top notch vocals # legends
These gals are just so great. They strike a chord in me that I can't describe.
They are so FANTASTIC. Wow. Hugely talented, beautiful voices, great musicianship, and haunting lyricists. Really awesome performers. Have liked them for awhile now. They do a lot of covers i tribute to other artists. I would live to hear them cover a Fleetwood Mac song. They could do great justice to songs like The Chain, Gold Dust Woman or Songbird.
Beautiful harmonies that only siblings seem to have.👍👍
beautiful
Love them
Absolutely beautiful 👌👌 💗
Outstanding! These girls are heading to the stars!
They are wonderful
brilliant
You go ladies!!! ❤💕
best
WOOT WOOT FIRST AID KIT ON GRAHAM NORTON!!!!!!
Class act
Какие же они классные!
They seem to prefer to let their music speak for them. A great live performance.
Linda Ronstadt just gave them a thumbs up an honor
Adorable.
In a good way.
@@WillSelfless this was actually a reff. to a British line in style, in that wacky movie with the big time robbery and all.
Johanna just gets prettier 😍😍
Jeg synes at de synger godt 👍👍👍🤗🤠🤠💘💘
5:37 Klara's relationship ended. So there's a chance? 😁
Jävlar, vad bra dom sjunger. Klara o Johanna är bara världsklass.
I'd love First Aid Kit to maybe collaborate with Goldfrapp on at least one song someday? Its a tall order but i reckon it would /will be good.
M. 2018 v v
ABBA would be proud of them
Is there a song they cannot sing well. Just found these ladies and definitely sold on them.
4:45 Maisie Williams is so tiny.
Tom hanks is talking to them. 😲
And they say there's no good new music.
how come you can barely hear Johanna >:-(
madison_face TV show audio techs usually get the mix wrong. Like mixing bass low and guitar loud for Primus, or like here, Johanna low.
She's usually a bit lower when she sings harmonies but it's tooclow here, I agree.
I keep seeing the bass players bass not plugged in. Is it remote now or am I missing something?
Both sisters are plugged in, but wireless.
Notice how Graham Norton says its one of his favorite artists, but then after the performance he has to ask which one is called who.
How are they from Sweden? Their English is impeccable
Since late 60s early 70s we have learned english from our 3 year in school. When we are about 8-9 years old. So many swedes is actually quite good in english.
@@MrCitius Well, being able to speak the language is one thing. But they have a slight American accent. I am Dutch/Canadian and I'll tell you they could pass with flying colors as far as I'm concerned. But anyway; you Scandinavians are indeed very good at English (and this goes for Icelandic people as well).
@@MrBaconwhopper of course is the accent very important. 👍 A lot of the youngsters in Sweden actually speaks more like americans then english. In my age, born -71, and older. The school was very focused on the pronunciation. That has almost no focus at all now a days. My son is 16 and he doesnt speak english, he speaks american. I think we can thank all the american music and movies for that. 😄
Ive worked with a lot of people from different countries and by that ive used my english a lot. But my co workers tell me that i change my language, depending on who i talk to.😄
A little odd mix of countries, dutch and Canada. Not in a bad way. I have an old friend who married a dutch girl and moved to her, i hope i can visit them in the future. I really miss him. And i really like Canadians....they play really god hockey!🙂
Johanna mic is so low why
Doing harmonics and backups. But yes, it's a bit unbalanced, she needed like 15% more.
Has everyone already forgotten about ... The Pierces ?

Beautiful Goddesses.
Man I hope they get back together
I can't hear Johanna's voice 😢
Couple of Hot Swedes...
Wrap up Hanks you wotsit-headed drone. Let First Aid Kit go.
Very evocative band, must have grown up on their parents' hippy music. Feels a bit like the Mamas & the Papas or something akin to that. Beautiful anyway.
I thought of the Mamas & Papas right away. They are fantastic!
dad on guitar in Lolita Pop - Tarzan On A Big Red Scooter
They are wearing brown contacts in this
Graham asks who is who...you only had one job, Graham, one job! #HostFail
Agreed.... particularly poor as they had been on the show before in 2015.
Why doesn't Johanna get more room? Personally I like her voice better.
I like the fact that you only get little bits of her voice. It makes it better.
Because she is a much less talented singer. Believe me, if she was even close to Klara, she would feature more because her looks would make them much more popular among the masses.
So much of this subtle vitriol for not caring about L.A. The music industry left that place along time ago.
Damn I’m a little disappointed they’re not from down south or anywhere in America... I guess it speaks even more to their talent though
Mensspreading black guy!😂
Swedish? They sound American 😐
We mostly hear american accents from TV-shows and stuff so people from Sweden often speak with a more american accent instead of a British one. They have also spent a lot of time there while touring I believe.
Alex Lang they have been based out in Nashville for couple years
It's the same for Dutch people as well, most Dutch people I have ever spoken too have excellent English with an American sounding accent
Ok not perfefect tuninng. But good enough. You are two good looking sisters.
And not perfefect spelling.
Dude, sure, live music will always contain slight errors, but "good enough". No. Not just good enough.
@@Santaripaz I slipped :) But they never sound perfect in harmony and that is part of the point. But when you're out on these far ends of pitch it easily becomes a problem, a thin line.
Booking: OK, so a couple of Swedish girls who are a "folk" band.
Wardrobe: OK, let's try two English Fetish looks, Latex & Leopard skin.
Their own clothes actually.
@@jamesbutler6253 Thanks, didn't know of course. I am surprised, though they don't have to conform to my expectations. I have been following them since "Lion's Roar" with much admiration for their work, and wasn't trying to put them down at all.
Fits their vibe perfectly
Why does Graham Norton always make the musical acts sound muddy and flat? Sack the mixer!
It's a shame they were there with Tom Hanks.
Someone should help with their wardrobe....or increase their pay check
What's wrong with it ? Not revealing enough up to current standards ?
Matter of taste, I think they always look really stunning.
Stephen Foulk I don’t hate them..I love their sound but their dress sense isn’t so good....nothing to do with revealing flesh as someone else said! It’s dressing with taste and style.
I bet you're a fashion icon
Choo Momma You genuinely sound like an idiot.
Wtf is this First Aid kit?.. lol is that really supposed to be a new sound?.. "I spend so much time, going out of my mind, just so hard to be with you".. Well that was a great line lol..
Daniel T You should listen more carefully to the lyrics before judging it! They actually sing: ”I’ve spent so much of my time going out of my mind, tryin’ so hard to be of use.”
Dont wanna write them off completely tbh, the overall aura of the band is pretty good and the music is 2. But at the same time, if this doesnt sound like its been done before, then i geuss the worlds stuck with the same 3 chords and the same ol melodies. And those magic lines, that just seem so meaningless!
I think I know what you're getting at. I look forward to hearing new songs that seamlessly mesh melody and lyric into something larger than the individual pieces, and that succeed in filling an empty space inside you that was longing for completion. That's a rare thing, and it's deeply personal, and sometimes it only happens in a single fleeting phrase. But when it does it's magical.
